I discovered the problem. I tightened the nut to 15 lbs and issue solved. Thanks for your input.

I just checked Wits End. Those bushings are for the transfer case, my issue is transmission shifter.
    • Camino
Where would that bushing be located?

Ok, so, I’ve been working on my junk for a couple of months now to get it ready for my grandson to do the Rubicon in a month. My current issue is when I adjust the slotted bar connecting the shifter to the trans, either I can put it In Park and...

So, I just pick a run from the registration, and then network at the event to find someone going back to Loon on sun or Monday? I have done the round trip solo 9 years ago but since then I’ve had 2 hips replaced and don’t think I could hike out...

I have yet to sign up. I understand the Wagon runs are full, are there still open runs? Also, since I will be trailering to Loon, will there be any people exiting back to Loon?

Can’t you get enough slack from the adjustments?

Thanks for your help. I disassembled a second time. Cleaned and lubed. Tested and it works! Not sure what fixed it. Hit the button to lock, pushed the gear slide to lock position, installed the actuator and tested on jacks, weeeeeeeeeeee!

Ok so I tested the motor in both directions and no work, then I disassembled it and everything looked pristine. Now I’m stumped.
    • Camino
Thanks! So, how to jump it to test motor?

I have been working on the hoopty for weeks now. New pads, rear drum ebrake shoes, cable, Brakes work now (but have to be pushed real hard). So now on to the locker. Years ago I rigged a DIY air locker in the rear and it has been trouble free...

Apparently in late 92, they came with rear disks (it also has electric lockers). I used a vacume jar system first, then went back to old school wife pushing pedal and me turning bleeder screw.

Yes I did but, in order to connect the 2 brake lines to the master, you have to pull those lines off.

I’ve bled my 4 disk brakes on my 92 over and over again after replacing the master. The pedal still goes to the floor. Any ideas?

I have replaced master cylinder on my ‘92. I bled it on the bench but some fluid leaked out when connecting the lines. It never went dry. I’ve been thru 4 quarts of fluid bleeding all four wheels. Fluid comes out clean with no bubbles. But, my...
