What a difference from the 32x11.5's I had on there...

Immediate differences on the way home....no pics yet, if anyone wants to see.

-absolutely no wonder whatso ever one finger streight and true (before you could not take your eyes off the road)

-softer Ride
-Over drive was very noticable (5-8 MPH increase)
-2" increase in ground clearance
-tires are in the wells for MUD not slinging on the intire truck
-steers easyer (like P/S)
-looks more orignial with stocker steelies and new caps
-

Offroad:....no experience with the FJ40 yet, but I would guess the bennies will be just as good...air down etc....

This Combo just ROCKS.

Yeah, I made the mistake of thinking some fat 33x12.5's would look good on my 55 once. I swapped some on from a 40 I had (took the 33x9.5 BFG's off and stuck them on the 40) I drive my 55 every day...I didn't leave the 12.5's on for long.

I am happy with mine, I may go to a slightly shorter tire next just because I really don't take the 55 off road very often.

I have the combo also; on a long term project. In the front end shop today getting aligned and brakes bled/adjusted (I know; I should have done it myself; just wanted this phase DONE); looking forward to trying them off road; on road ride and steering should be better. I have heard from some that narrows are actually better in some situations than wides.

Discount....can't beat there warantee....$118.00 each installed w/warantee...supplying a tax ID #

33x9.5, my favorite size for a 40 that is not wheeled hard and spends alot of time on the street.

yeah it makes an amazing difference when going from wide tire.

Pizza cutters

Pizza cutters, 9.5s , really stuff nicely on a 40 with
uncut fenders. Great street manners and rock in snow.
BFG At KOs suck in mud. They clog without good ejection.
Front and rear lockers help.
Those 34x9.5 swampers rock and are great in mud.
They don't have the mileage and manners of the AT however.
I went with the steet mannered BFGs. I'm happy.
Next time I'm going swamper. Noise and wear be damned.
Now if I could just wear out these 33x9.5 BFG AT/KOs. ;)

How about some before and after pics?

nice......love the 9.5's on the 40....hated em on the 60...

Razor, why did ya hate them on the 60? Iam about to put 33 on the fj62, mostly DD, and was going to go with 33 x 10.5...maybe the pizza cutter look 9.5 would look ok and handle better?

the do look Fantastic on the FJ40. -Mark

" do these tires make my truck look phat? "

Just got mine out of the alignment shop; just a tad toe in; clutch adjusted; new brakes all around bled and adjusted; first drive on the street with this set up and aligned right. I have 33X9.5 BFG MT (no longer avalable); nearly new on stock steelies. Also 2 inch OME (heavy rear, med front); and Rancho RS 9000 adjustables. Also CCOT old Toyota power steering. Ride is superb for a 40, handles nicely. Brakes will throw you through the windshield. Should ride even better once I get the hard top back on and a load back there. What tire pressure are you running and how does it feel? I am running 33 psi cold. The Ranchos seem to feel best when set on the softest setting all around; these trucks are relatively light compared to full sized rigs and seem to me to do better with a softer shock.

i run a 33x10.5 on my waggie and i think it's great. how come you didn't like the skinnies on the 60?
