New battery

Hi there,
Maybe already discussed in a previous thread, but couldn't find it through the search function. My current battery is dying in me... I'm looking for a good replacement. Can you advice on what to take ? It is the main battery for a 2004 3.0 D4D. My current battery is a 95AH of a non known brand... Would appreciate some advice on AH .

If the current battery fill the battery tray properly, take it to the store that sells the batteries and get one the same size.

Most all vehicles have a model with a gas and diesel engine. I have only gas engines. So when it is time for a replacement I always as for the diesel battery because it will have more cold cranking amps and generally is 'more' battery. The tray is usually designed to handle it.

You mention AH, are you wanting more than a starting battery? Usaullly AH is a rating for deep cycle or dual purpose battery. If so you need to calculate your loads and consider getting a dual prurpose. Draining a starting battery will shorten its life since it is not designed for deep discharges. I recently built a dual battery system for mine. By the way, 95 AH isn’t bad for deep cycle...
