Nice! Looks great... Do you like the 61”? I was thinking this as well but wondering if the full length would be utilized better.Yep - installed the ARB Base65...it is 51"x61" with the trade rails...pics:

I do like it...I opted for that length versus the full size. I won't ever use an RTT or anything like that, and didn't want the rack running the full length of the vehicle.Nice! Looks great... Interesting... I thought it came with the wind deflector? There’s no part # for it that I can see. Lists all other accessories though.I do like it...I opted for that length versus the full size. The one thing I will say is the wind fairing is a must. I am waiting on that part and it howls in any speed over 45mph...

No wonder it looked familiar, awesome rig nonetheless.
You bring up a good point regarding the claw clamp opening on the Thule Roof might not being wide enough to grip the cross bars. I have a Thule Box as well and this didn’t cross my mind. Will call ARB support on Monday to get exact dimensions.
Wind noise is a show stopper. The original round bar rack was quiet if you chop off the fairing. Just need to use clamps instead of t-nuts.
The base rack doesn’t use t tracks so don’t believe these will work unfortunately. The Thule Box claws that come standard only open up the about 3.5 inches wide whereas the horizontal slats on the ARB Base Rack are approximately 5 inches according to ARB. Thule makes an adapter (Thule T-track Adapter 697-6), that appears to be the solution for those of us who want to be able to mount our Thule boxes on the Base Rack. The claws are removed from the Thule box and this adapter kit takes it’s place. Once my LC gets out of the repair shop and I get a chance to install the Base Rack, will be able to verify this Thule T-Track adapter solution actually works.

Great looking truck and thanks for the pics. If you don’t mind, what the clearance height distance between the top of the rain gutter and the bottom of the rack? Are you satisfied with the function of the gutter mounts?Yep - installed the ARB Base65...it is 51"x61" with the trade rails...pics:

I meant to add to my prior post this is the ARB Base Rack adapter that would be needed to fit the Thule Box adapter to it.The base rack doesn’t use t tracks so don’t believe these will work unfortunately.

Well it's a single welded piece as per the pic. The fairing was really a sheet metal bit welded onto a tube frame that protruded up about 6-8" as shown in pic. I had to cut that off to fit it into my garage after lifting it and larger tires.Hey Mudzlla, it sounds like you're saying the original ARB roof rack does not produce much road noise in your experience? What do you mean by removing the fairing? I thought there was a plastic fairing which was optional on the front of the ARB roof rack - do you mean that it's quieter without that piece? I believe it, but I thought that decreased noise was the point of the fairing.
I like the alloy ARB racks in the original flavor. I also like the mesh on the bottom of the rack, it just seems much easier to attach whatever you want, and you can throw in firewood easily. I realize the modern look is the flat rack, but I think the OG racks look better on these older rigs, and I'm not a fan of all the proprietary/fiddly attachments that these new racks require. Just my two cents.
Thanks for the review. It looks great!Got my ARB base rack a couple weeks ago and so far I really like it. Took it to Moab with awning and some other attachments and held up great. Absolutely no wind noise or whistle driving from Fort Collins to Moab (6 hour drive) or any other times. I went with the 72” length which is a great length for my needs. I don’t like how it covers the sunroof but I knew that going into it. Even with the 84” it would still cover the sunroof since the bars are not movable.
Install was super easy with my buddy and lifting it up on the roof. Instructions are pretty self explanatory and wind deflector went on with no problems. There were no vibrations and after Moab no bolts were loose. I did have it on the lowest setting but recently raised it so the wind deflector wasn’t so close to the sunroof glass.
I got quite a few attachments and so far I really like the quick release awning mount. Very easy to use and I also got the eye bolts quick release and standard. Both work great. Also got the ratchet straps but haven’t used them yet.
only bummer is I can’t attach my roof box. Apparently the one I have they don’t make the t -track conversion for even though it was their top of the line model a couple years ago. Might sell it and get a newer version just to accommodate.
