Hello all,

I want to introduce my new to me truck to the forum. While I was deployed I was looking for a serious off road/camping vehicle. After looking at diesel trucks (F250s) and other diesel options (old g-wagon) I decided that the 100 is the best option for what I was looking for. This forum helped make up my mind as well. So, thanks guys.

Anyways, while deployed I found a nice low mileage (93000 miles) 2007 land cruiser and asked my parents to check it out. Next thing I know it was in their garage in Dallas. Original picture attached. Knowing I was going to drive back to San Diego I decided to do my first upgrade and go with 275/70/18 BFG A/Ts. I was also planning on visiting my friend in Lubbock on the way home and going to buffalo springs.

Upon my arrival I discovered a car that met and exceeded all my expectations. I've never even driven a hundy before so it was all new to me. The drive was amazing and it even looked better than I expected inside and out. The larger tires helped. My long drive home took me to Lubbock as planned and let me explore the off road capabilities of the truck. I got to use all the off road goodies (low gear, high AHC setting, and central diff lock). This thing was amazing. For such a large truck it did so well especially compared to my buddies stock wrangler (with 33s). Overall I am very pleased and can't wait to do more traveling and wheeling.

I have been talking with Mike at bior and he has been exceptionally helpful in planning my next upgrades. He's building me a tube front bumper, sliders, and rear plate bumper with tire swing out and bike rack. He's even going to try and color match my two tone paint. Hopefully these will be ready by December. Will post pics as I make the upgrades.

This is the best and most solidly built car I have ever owned and I am proud to drive it and be a part of this forum.

Congrats on your purchase. I am partial to white, same as my two 100's :D

And thank you for your service

White LC here too!

And yes, thank you for your service

Welcome to the madness! Bring it to Pismo Beach this coming weekend (11/7-9), you will meet a bunch of people from this forum!

Welcome from another new member and as others have said, thank you for your service. I picked up an '06 with 139K on Saturday and can't believe how well it has held up. If that is any indication, I think I've got many good miles ahead.

Good to see the mod bug has already bitten!

That's funny I'm actually typing this from the back of my car tucked into toasty a sleeping bag right at Pismo beach. Unfortunately I have plans for Tahoe, but will keep an eye on this forum for future events.

Congrats on your new purchase. I can confidently say after 2 weeks of ownership that this is the best car purchase I have ever made!! Also welcome to the forum.

Welcome! After almost two years of ownership I can say it the best purchase I've made. I was actually looking for a 4runner then I came across this 2002 100 and test drove it and had to have it.

Great looking truck! If you're going with the tube front might want to consider the HC rear bumper as well. Our trucks have big fat long back ends and we need all the clearance we can get!

Double congrats! One: for the LC and two: for getting the best color combo:clap:

Now...let's get those port-installed over-fender pieces removed! Likely some marks in the paint from those unnecessary and unsightly things...but you'll like it better without them! Welcome home.

I was really considering it, but I'm not too fond of cutting off the cross member. I am currently in the process of seeing if mike has any recs that involve keeping the cross member in place. Plus I'm keeping the stock tow bar so rear height isn't gonna change much anyways.

I also want to say thank you for your service. It's people like you that allow the rest of us to live our lives the way we do.

My company supports the Wounded Warrior Project and always will.

An oh, I want to see pics of the front tube bumper when complete!

Thank you!

and great looking LC!!! I am newbie myself but this board has been very helpful in my short time here. Enjoy yourself and make some great friends!!!

My time in queue finally came to recieved all my Bump it off road parts. Mike from Bior agreed to meet me in Arizona on the way to family vacation so that I can grab all the amazing assortment of quality parts that he had meticulously crafted for me. Mike is great. His customer service is hard to beat and his prices are very reasonable. I ordered a custom front tube bumper with mounts for multiple lights, a license plate and wench. Also got a rear bumper with a driver side tire carrier and bike rack as well as tube sliders. I still plan on having him build me a roof rack in the future, but this was great start. So my friend and I met with Mike and his family, put the sliders on and returned to California. As a matter of fact I'm still driving, but we did manage to put the sliders in prior to leaving. Here are some pictures of what was done so far...

Tomorrow the plan is to put on the front bumper with winch and rigid dually lights in place of the fogs. In the read well put on the bumper with all the accessories. More pics to come.

Grats man! I just picked up one a few weeks ago as well. Such a great piece of machinery.

After an excessively long install on every bit of bior candy that I purchased the truck is finally complete.
Parts installed with ease:
- sliders
- rear bumper without accessories
- rigid lights
Parts that requires some work and or modification
- front bumper
- winch install
- accessories (tire carrier, accessory swing out)

After arriving back home we settled in for the night to start the build in the morning. First we started with removal of the front and rear stock bumpers. Than went on to the front bumper install. All the white overspray parts were painted with plasti dip to give it that uniform look and all the cables under the lights were tucked out of view. Afterwards we decided to install the Engo 12000s winch. This required removal of the solenoid because it was about 4mm too wide to fit on top of the winch. You will see from the pictures that I put in on the passenger side of the winch and attached it to the bumper using a hose clamp.

The winch was tested and after I made sure it was functional we tightened everything up and moved on to the rear bumper. On the rear I ordered a cut out for the tow wiring which requires cutting into the cross member. After the cut, the rear bumper was attached with all the necessary hardware, which was straight forward enough and we moved on to the accessories. The tire carrier was solid and a great fit but the bicycle rack mike made was not compatible with the rear spoiler (which I'm actually keeping, I know most of you are cringing at this). So we'll have to work something out.

Last step was to attach the rigid dually LEDs to the factory fog wiring harness. This was really straight forward and worked like a charm. They're super bright and look great on this bumper in my opinion.

That's all so far.

Future mods:
- 7 inch led round lights to fit in the bumper hoop
- so far the ahc is working without any issues and is leveling all the weight. However, I think with more people and weight it'll probably need some help so I'll crank the torsion bars and put spring packs in the rear.
- in time i plan on getting after market rear springs with a higher spring rate.
- roof rack
- hi lift jack
- more lights
- additional accessories

More to come. Thanks for visiting my build thread. If you have any questions or suggestions let me know.

Key words: bump it off road; tube front bumper; rigid lights; engo winch; rear spoiler
