Clint 79......I'm not to sure what your middy would be worth I'm one of those sick minded petrol land land cruiser lovers not a diseasel.
:D

I see the therapy is finally paying off.....at least you can now admit it.
Buying a diesel is probably cheaper than therapy in the long run.:D

Slowly slowly its working , by the time I'm clean I should be close to downgrading to a vdj79 :D

Made in Japan!:)
Kuwait/Dubai selling only at US30K++. Cheap! Cheap! Cheap!

Not a bad price. So these must/may be what I was referring to in the other thread. I found out today the W. Malaysia imports are actually 4.0 petrols.............chop shop import if you know what I mean..lol.

"Downgrading" will be more or less insulting to vdj.:D:D
Will be very interesting to know VDJ versus FZJ+T:grinpimp:

You will have to forgive Clint79, between the gas fumes and to much sun, he is not thinking straight.:D

I thought this thread was ment to be in the stickys but it's in the normal posting section.

Its typical of the aluminium or steel tray backs we fit to our landcruisers in Australia. They are also available from the dealer and can be colour matched to the cab colour. That one on the beach is the Toyota factory tray but made by someone in australia for Toyota.

You can also have them enclosed with canvas or metal canopies. They also have options for water tanks, half tonne cranes, tipper trays etc.
There must be a 100 or companies in oz making these for every type of 4wd or truck and many of them offer various styles to suit different trades or recreational purposes

That looks like a steel tray you've fallen in love with, great for strength but a lot of weight if you only need it for light duty purposes.
Are you thinking about chopping the 80 series in your sig line?

No. I don't have the skills or tools to be able to do that to my 80. Iv just been window shopping and day dreaming recently.

posted with my thumbs.

Hi everyone. I own a 1989 LJ70 with a 2LT diesel engine. I use it as a work vehicle in a Natural Park I manage in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Aditionally I have two more 70s which I bought in junkyards for spare parts: Another LJ70 and an LJ73 both 1st generation...

Hi Madmak,Ive always wanted a job where I could drive around offroad in a landcruiser all day:D
I hope the park pays for the tyres
We dont see too many LJ73 on here,it must be one of the least owned landcruisers

Got some new wheels for my 79series,there 16x8 Toyota alloys from a gxl 105 series.
I'll be putting some 305 70 16 tyres on the alloys.

Hi Rosco! Yes, the park pays for tyres, and bullets for my rifle and a few expenses more. It's a good job.
There aren't too many LJ73 around here either, actually they're all imported. For about 20 years Japanese cars could not be sold in the country and the only Land Cruisers were the BJ73 asembled in Portugal with Italian VM diesel engines, not quite my cup of tea.
I lived in Brisbane for two years... lots of TLC over there. Big 1HZ engines too. You have an amazing country, miss it heaps.
Now I'm looking for a BJ40, but these are very, very rare in Spain.

Cheers

Hi guys, I have a 1989 75 series troopy here on the east coast of Australia, I inherited the troopy off my father who owns and operates a mechanic business out on the coast here. He ditched the old 2H for a 12HT 6 years and 90 thousand kms ago. Running 13psi mitsubishi turbo and 2.5 inch mandrel exhaust. Most recently I fitted a 12000 pound ironman winch today.

Just thought I'd say hi. I'm and avid reader of the forum and this is my second 70, my first being an '85 mid wheel base BJ73 that now belongs to my room mate.

Wow another cool inheritance  Is the body on your troopy as clean as it looks?

Yeah dad owned it since '94. Had rust repairs a few years ago but both me and my father before me keep it well maintained. I guess I inherited his fussiness as well.
My whole family lives and breathes 4wds. Dad has an 81 RN46 hilux restored to near factory, mums daily driver is 5 inch raised FZJ105 cruiser, sister drives a 92 dual cab 2.8 hilux, 2 inch lift, muddies and a turbo, an immaculate 93 2.8 4runner that my younger brother will inherit in a few years and finally dad has purchased a '99 1hz 100 series lengthened dual cab custom chop that is his new project. We fitted a 4 inch lift last week, dobinson coils and shock, tomorrow the factory toyota alloy bar goes and in its place an ironman deluxe winch bar and 12 thou pound winch.
