Not a real big deal anywhere else, but here in the US a FJ75 is pretty rare. Mine is bone stock w/ a 3F and h55 transmission. My first modification will be a radio, the AM and tape deck is just not cutting it. Next will be lift and tires. I don't really need to lift the truck, but I have to get rid of those one ton springs in the rear, very stiff. Lastly my truck was made without a factory heater/defrost, just have the block off plate there. How hard would it be to get these parts? Also what is the backspacing on the factory 16" splitrims? My truck has 40 series 15" rims now, but I would like to go back to a 16" when I buy tires. Thanks in advance.

Sid

Nice mate 75 mate, ive never seen one with out a heater lucky you got wheels with the cruiser ;)
what year is it 90-92?
those rims have the lugs for the oldschool centre caps pretty hard to find , i like your bonnet catches to
good luck with your heater findings there is tons in Aus but not sure if the units LHD and RHD are different, i had to change my heater cable in my old ute was a PITA

hi,
i've just acquired a 89bj75 p/u from a friend. a mining truck which was driven above ground so no rot about. will be my summer dd and maybe eventually a camper for my alaskan trek in my retirement days. no pics as yet but still stock condition besides the removal of split rims and fabricated bc fir box.
cheers,

Well, kind of a new 79 Series owner. I purchased a 2010 79 Series body that I will be putting on a 62 Series frame. This will be a fun project, I hope. Long term plans call for the use of the 3FE motor with its fuel injection and automatic transmission. Would love a H55 5-speed, but that just isn't in the budget to start with. Will use the 62 Series axles as well and am thinking SPOA and 35" tires.

Have you thought of using the 1FZ? Make it a FZJ79.

Factory or aftermarket?

I would think that aftermarket shouldn't be hard to find.

hello from bangladesh

hello everyone, i am asad from Dhaka, Bangladesh and i just bought myself a 1985-86 white LandCruiser BJ70 with the 3B Diesel engine and HD leaf springs. It has factory fitted A/C tinted glass etc. single owned by a lady from new so its in pretty good condition. i just swapped in some tires off my old land rover defender so it sits tall and nice. plans are for some enhanced performance off road and well take it back to factory condition as much as possible, my cousin also has a green 70 soft top which he thoroughly restored.. pics on its way.
hope to learn a lot here
regards

Dont sweat about factory diff locks. I have ARB air lockers front and rear and they are the ducks guts!! (that means good). I wouldnt be without them.

I Heard Arb locks are awesome but very expensive because it ll need an air compress and an air compress tank. I m thinking to swap elocker from 4runner put on my bj74's axel and convert into cable locker:steer:
