Also got my plate today. Was amazed when FZJ 80 was available for my one Cruiser, even more so that FJ 40 was available!

I haven't posted on my 40 in a while so I figured I'd catch up a bit. A while back I traded my General Grabbed AT's for a set of STT Pro 30x9.50-15's. Still planning a lift and 33's but I like the mud tire look so these are good for now.

I took the roof and doors off last week

Next up was a SOR bikini top and tiger channel. I liked the write up by @TEQ on using the existing holes and Fastenal Jack nuts but couldn't get them quickly so I used a rubber compression but with a brass insert. I had to trim the end to get them to start. Tight fit but didn't have to drill new holes. So far, so good

I have some extra doors I bought to make half doors but they're not ready yet so for now topless/doorless

Went up to Bitely MI area yesterday and met @Ocho77 to see his new FST 40
Good times. Stayed at a buddy's cottage and enjoyed some scenic 40 speed cruising!

Got back today and Troy, aka @olive came over for a visit (me and his old Cruiser!). Good times. Always a bonus to gain a friend as well when buying a Cruiser. He drove his new 100 series. Now I want one of those too.

Ok, to the important stuff, what is the attachment on the Kubota? I have been looking for a set of forks for my 3800. Good to see 40's running around Michigan!

I made a grapple for my forks. It's just 1/2" plate cut to that shape, cheap hydraulic cylinder, and some other homemade stuff. It pins on and off because it doesn't go straight up out of the way. Forks are 48" but I made slide on 6' extensions out of channel. That simple set up totally transforms a set of forks. I can pick up the swim raft and paddle boat and clamp it to put it in and out. You can pick up a huge brush pile with it or a stack of logs. It worked sweet for setting the motor in my Chevelle. we hooked the rear strap to the forks and the front to the grapple and it gave amazing up/down tilt rather that tilt the forks that far which is scary.

I'd love one of those too. My set up has been on 2 of my skid steers, now the tractor, plus borrowed a lot so it is beat to crap, but still works!

Congratulations on finally scratching that itch. I am glad that it's coming to Michigan, not many 40's around these parts. I look forward to getting an opportunity to see it.

I'm working at adding an additional FJ40 to Michigan, the search continues.

Congrats on the new rig! Really nice. I am in sunny California and removed my top for the summer. Just put it back on since I grew tired of chumps saying, "nice Jeep, dude!" Welcome to MUD!!

There are nearly zero Cruiser savvy people in my town. I get way more "Nice jeep" comments than "nice Cruiser"!

I haven't updated in so long. Time flies by. I did a 2.5" ish lift on it last summer kind of piece-meal and it is ok. I like the Bilstein shocks I used but wish I had done OME springs. I did Pro Comp and I suppose they are ok. I went with 16" Wheel Vintiques wheels and modded the toyota caps to fit because I have an ancient set of BFG KM1's in 16" and I figured the slow rollin 40 was a good home for them.
Tonight I swapped out the front bumper for a vintage arb "catchers mask" I got from @Voodoocruisers . I've only had it since winter. I still have to finish it up but I love the way the old arb's look.
