Long time Toyota lover, first time LC owner.
Had a 93’ pickup that I had to sell during Covid. Excited to have finally gotten back to the point where I can have a rig again! Just picked this guy up for a great price here in Lake Tahoe, NV.
Introducing my 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser w/ center and rear diff locks and 230k on the odometer. Previous owner had following done in last 15k:
New 285/75 R16 BFG KO2s + spare
Alignment
Lower ball joints
Steering rack bushings
New Ironman foam cell shocks
Front rotors, pads
Trans flush
Diff flush
Transfer case flush
Radiator flush
Spark plugs
Drive belts and tensioner pulley
Timing Belt
Water Pump

Truck has ZERO rust
Interior shows it's age with cracked leather on passenger seat. Driver's seat is still good.
All rear seats removed, but seats and hardware came with the truck.
Exterior has dings, scratches and light sun damage with chipping clear coat.

First day I drove it around and took her up some steep dirt roads and a few ruts around town. Second day went to fire it up and got the famous 100 series “cranks but won’t start”. After reading a few threads I’ve seen this is less than rare, and went ahead and ordered a new EFI relay that should be Coming in the next couple of days, next morning she started right up and I drove it to smog test. Taken it to and from dog park down the street and have my buddy with his LX 470 on speed dial to swap the relay should it happen again before then. Just hoping I didn’t inherit a faulty fuse box, less worried about possibility of fuel pump but keeping fuel on the lower half just in case!

But alas, stoked on this truck and while I’ve always had older cars and worked on them, I am hoping this is the truck that helps me get me to where I want to be (mechanically and locations)! Anticipating that I will need some help, and this community has already helped me immensely for researching/ finding and now assessing this initial issue. So cheers- to many more miles on the road!
