What an odd build to end up at a co-part... slee armor, front runner rack, clean interior...even with a blown motor you'd think someone would have parted it out. I'm guessing stolen/recovered by insurance...or engine/2000 infamous transmission failure. either way she's pretty.

Yes definitely odd. Shows an accident and some damage to rear upper tailgate. Says runs and drives but has a salvage title.

This truck was the model 100 to advertise the FN Wheels! Can’t believe it ended up on copart???

That's cool! I'll bid but given the latest trends, that thing will go for over 10.

The tailgate window was definitely shattered. Is that the "rear end damage"?

I'm hoping that's all it is, God forbid I can find new glass. I've heard too many horror stories though about vehicles showing up in VASTLY different condition then what was advertised. Parts removed or damaged, "run and drive" means it's got a broken timing belt but it did run etc. After broker fees, selling fees, and transportation, it's going to be over $1500 on top of the sale price. Definetly something to consdier, especially if it shows up missing bumpers, sliders, rack etc.

My advice would be to straight up call FN wheels and see if anyone helpful picks up. That truck has been posted a few times on their IG page and looks to have been owned by someone that works there or owns the company.

I've also heard stories about ''future'' sales not even going to auction (aka the previous owner buys it back, someone at the insurance company swoops it, someone at copart swoops it)

That is going to be the most likely scenario. I was looking at it again this morning, and my math may be off, but I'd gladly pay $10k just for the mods and get a free 100 out of the deal. I still can't figure out the salvage deal. There has to be more going on here, but I agree, we'll never know. I've wathced other trucks for months that had "future" auction dates that magically disappear.

You can also call the copart location and inquire abt. the truck. All u need is a member #. I was originally going to purchase a rig at the NOLA copart location so i got the cheapest membership to go an do a site visit to scope the one i was interested in. At the time i did not know jack**** abt. a 100 series and thankfully my old man talked me out of buying a project. Still learning the title intricacies, rules, and such but generally check copart daily really waiting for one closer to me so i can inspect it myself.

Sometimes the Future cars are ones waiting for titles sometimes they pop up and sell next day stating clean title pending. It's something i am not an expert on for sure. Sometimes they auction with pending approval which gives the seller till the next evening to decide whether to accept the winning bid or not. Often times rigs get re-listed a couple times within in a few days.

Here is a really clean 05 LC that popped up just two days ago and selling tomorrow afternoon 2pm central. It's Massachusetts it's whole life so corosion is a concern but appears exceptionally clean (for the North East) rust wise under the hood.

Edit SOLD on approval $7,500.00

It seems like if you buy it through a broker you they can get a clean title then transfer it to you. See the notes on document type it says something like

Copy that, i'm more leery of why it was salvaged to begin with. Maybe it truly isn't? I'll take it up to $10 but not any higher; i'm a terrible poker player haha

You can't lose at 10k and probably win. Parted out to the last plastic seat track cover you probably make a nice profit. I'm just window shopping and trying to learn really. If you can't put eyes on in person- pass is my advice brother.

It says the damage has a repair estimate of $7,606. wtf are we missing in the photos?

i ran the vin through another site that pulls their info from copart. strange. Could just be a glitch though...but add it to the weird vibes from this truck already.

Doc Type:NV SALVAGE TITLE
Odometer:247,334 Exempt
Auction Highlights:Run and Drive
Primary Damage:REAR END
Est. Repair Cost:$7,606 USD
Est. Retail Value:$11,989 USD

Yes weird i see complete upper hatches all over the junk yards for 5 or 6 hundred all day. Go put eyes on that sucker.

Did you see that 05 LX with 165k in Antelope CA go for $5,500 on approval a little while ago. It had a Title where if you buy through a broker you get a clean title if you buy on your own you get acquisition bill of sale convertible to a salvage title after DMV inspection. Is that common in Cali?
