need sealant on head bolts? (1 Viewer)

Getting ready to bolt my head back on, I even bought new bolts fj62 3fe engine. My question is do I need to put any sealant on the head bolts? The old bolts didn't appear to have any sealnt on them.

no, because they are surrounded by the head gasket.

No, no sealant is required because the head bolt holes do not go through into the water jacket.
Just dip the thread into motor oil and install them.
