Need help!!!

Turns out one of the 37's I bought has a hole , almost like a small blade punctured it right where the tread meets the sidewall...........it isn't a huge hole more like a hairline crack, so I am hoping it can be fixed

I haven't been able to find any shops in Clemson that can patchit does any one have any recomendations for a good time shop in the area??? I need to get this fixed for Tellico

Try gettin' a tube for it.

Hard40 got one of my Boggers fixed by a local. Had a big chunk missing in the sidewall, thanks to lower 2. I doubt he can get it fixed befor the Tellico, though.

Good luck JP. I think a tube would be your best bet with this short of time remaining. You can try and plug it but plugs don't work too good in that area due to tire flex.

I agree about sticking a tube in it. However be sure to get an inside
patch put on the hole or your new tube will quickly leak from pinching.
I'll bet that tire shop in Liberty S.C. at the intersection "downtown"
could fix you up pronto. Sorry I don't know the name.
I think the intersection is 93 and 178.

JP - Tried to call you a few times.

If you're in a pinch and motivated enough to do some driving, you're welcome to my spare (brand new) or any of the other 4 tires on my 40.

I'm still working to get the power steering repaired so there's no chance it would be my Tellico rig this time...

Thanks for the info and offers guys I think I will start with that tire place in liberty, I know exactly where david is talking about!!!

also do you guys think I would do more damage than good if I try fixing it with plugs??? I guess I should probaly wait and have a tire shop look at it first.........

This is good advice. You need a shoe before the tube.

alright up date fellas......... I decided to attempt using tire plugs to see if that would fix it, mainly because I am broke and don't want to pay a tire shop to fix it ........

took 3 plugs but it filled the crack and it is holding air, drove it around for about 20 mins and didn't lose any PSI I will see what it does over night, but for the moment it is fixed.

I just wonder how it would hold up on the trail.......... I need to find a tube big enough to put in it, anyone got any recomendations on a tube for a 37" tire

Firestone tire outlets will patch holes from the inside for $10-$20. There's one in Greenville on haywood. The one in Anderson is called Mac's i believe and is near downtown. It's an oldtime place (read: kinda ghetto) but they'll do the job. sorry to hear about the hole, that sucks.
