This is great thread. Learning a lot. I have borrowed a friends new F250 King Ranch with turbo diesel and it has so much torque the rear wheels were always breaking lose. These trucks and the big chevy's are all the rage in Raleigh now. I never see them towing, or anything in the bed or ever dirty.

I like the raptor however it is huge and I am not sure why anyone would drive one on the east coast. Out west, it would be incredible however I heard of shock mounts breaking with lots of jumping.
Know idea on the dodges - I heard the interior was out of this world. I am reliability first guy so that would be concerning.

A 200 series with a bed would sweet.

That’s funny I was just talking about that movie and the end scene the other day at work. We were talking about how the rest of the world pronounces Z by saying Zed.

Well I took delivery earlier.

2015 Power Wagon with 92k. Originally sold in Quebec then a Local truck since it had 10k miles in 2016. Sold and Serviced at the ram dealer about 30 min from me since it was imported. Lucky for me it has a bad plasti dip job on all the chrome. It helped negotiation as they were having a hard time moving it.

I looked at everything, even seriously considered and had a sweet Tundra sold out from under me. I kept thinking of what Del said and buy the bigger truck. This one check all the boxes and truly is my Swiss Army knife of trucks.

I love a vehicle with a story and this one is no different. It has a new 6.4 dealer installed, long block from Ram that I’m still currently breaking in. The dealer took it in on trade as it was having issues. Those issues turned into needing a new engine.

To close the deal I worked in a 3/36k bumper to bumper warranty. Having the warranty gave me the peace of mind to not worry about repair. The price out the door was about 5k under the comps. I can deal with the plasti dip for the discount.

Took a peak under the truck and the shiny new head sticks out among the dirty exhaust. Stay tuned. I’ll keep the thread updated to see how much the warranty ends up paying out

Nice. I like it. Are those 1/2 ton trucks or 3/4 ton or 1 ton trucks?
Nice score on the warranty. I am sure you won’t regret the purchase.

I have my 3/4 ton ford since NOV 06 bought brand new with less than 50 miles and have enjoyed every mile I have put on her.

by the way. I originally had an 03 f150 which I loved but just wasn’t as versatile as the 3/4 ton so I basically gave it away to the dealership when I bought the f250. So I am glad that you went with the bigger truck up front.

Thanks. It’s 3/4 ton. I’m really glad I went bigger. Towing is rated at around 10k because of the softer springs because of the “power wagon” package. Seems like current owners add airbags or change to the Cummins spring to increase towing. I have 1500HD farm truck and I could tell in the past few months it wasn’t enough. I wish Toyota had a 3/4 ton, but they don’t so it is what it is. I’m looking forward to driving to NC and hauling home new exciting junk.

Nice purchase!

I've been in this endless cycle of thought also for the last 6-8 months. Letting my 100 series go in favor of something newer with better towing, and MPG. Mainly looking at Jeep GC Diesels and F150's with the 3.5L ecoboost. Let us know how you like the PW long term!

What is the front axle in the power wagon?

Thanks. I don’t get the joy driving it like I do my 80. Its just another modern truck and Theres 1,000’s of Ram trucks on the road. After driving one I understand why though. Im really liking it. Ashamed to admit, but since I got the PW my 80 is sitting with a dead battery. Well off to replace the battery.

It’s a 9.25 built by American Axle Manufacturing

yeah figured it was an AAM, wasn't entirely sure if Ram had started using their front axles yet

I drove our 2020 1 ton at work today. It’s not a diesel. I don’t know what engine it has but holly cow that thing wants to go fast. It has power.

SFROMAN did you ever make a decision and buy a truck. If not, this one is a beast and is up for sale via auction.

Carfax report says "no accidents." I beg to differ.

I did have one very minor fender-bender with Fort Knox early on. Had to replace the PS front fender. Great....now my resale is ruined!
