I'll come help also. I'm finally back running. I need to install the locker tomorrow but that shouldn't take an hr. Plus I need some road time to make sure every thing is running smooth. So far no leaks and no big bangs.

Alex,

Got your message and I called back. When is a good starting time? I say the eariler the better but then again I don't want to drag people outta the bed on sunday morning. So when ever is good for me.

Marshall,

Are you going to be putting your locker on at alex's house?

Hey Alex sorry I had to bolt so soon. I'm glad I left when I did. I ended up driving home with just one eye. Also typing now with one eye.

Ha let them try to figure out what happened. That ought to be good for a laugh next weekend.

weekend wrenchin'

Hi all. I followed this thread but due to computer problems at home
I could not respond.
I hope all went well and parts got installed by all with a minimum of blood letting.
I re-installed my Lock Right in the rear of my 40. Ahhhhhh.....locked
front and rear AGAIN! The wife stood by in case of emergency but
none arose. One man job. I cut a finger slightly but it still bled.
Hehe...blood sacrifice always seems in order for Cruiser wrenchin'.

Blood was spilled
Beer was consumed
Foul language was commonly heard.

Alex, thanks for helping me put on those shackles. If you need anymore help with your 40, let me know. I wanna see that beast in action! See everyone on friday.

Matt

Marshall,

Well once we figured how the first one would come off it went smooth, but then we ran into a problem on the rear left shackle. The exhaust pipe is about two inches away from the shackle so in order to take it off you have to bend/remove the pipe. So Alex ended up grinding the shackle off while I ended up beating the tar out of what was left. It was a job, but I ended up with about an inch lift. Looks better than what it was, but I want higher and of course bigger tires.

Thanks to all you guys who helped: Darryl, Marshall, and of course the unstoppable Marine, Matt who stayed well passed 9pm wrenching with me.

I finally go the last two springs on today and they ride beautifully! But not without losing the tip of my finger. My wife is smart. she stays inside watching TV with the volume up high.

See ya'll at 6:30 Friday. Hoooah!
