Need help quick!

Leaving in the morning for a 9 day trip and the starter on the pig has taken a crap. No one has anything for a '78 2F. Anyone here know if there are any other Yota starters that will work on a '78 2F? Time is of the essence, need info before shops close.

whole starter or just the solinoid? maybe they have a solinoid if thats all it is.

Bring it with you and check the starter from an '87 2f (fj60). Seems like it should work.

Not sure. When we start it it makes a loud grinding sound on top of the sound of the starter, which I figured would be the starting gear, but I really have no idea.

Well okay, that was close. We just got a line on one that we are gonna go pick up. Have to drive to Burbank, but we're getting it. Thanks to all those that helped.
