Who is up for it? I blew mine up yesterday. So I'll be purchasing one this week and hopefull install this week or the next. I'll pay someone who has experience so I don't screw this thing up again. I'll do ythe labor if they will just tell me what to do.

Ive done mine twice and JP did it a third time plus his own on a few occasions. Sorry to hear you blew the other one up.

yes used. I'm yanking out the old tonight. Will have some pictures of the carnage tomorrow. Something tells me the swap will be easy. I can get a used unit from cruiserparts.net with a 90 day warranty for 450$. I have another source who said he would sell me one for 200$ and is in NC but he hasn't responded + I don't know the condition. Yet. But what ever I do I'll be buying something tomorrow. SO I can have it by the weekend..

Cool, and the swap will be very easy........slide the old one off slide the new one on.........

if you need some help I might be able to swing up that way this weekend, just have to see when the it is closer to the weekend, but me and richard have done this too many times in the recent past......... and richard is going to have to bust ass to get his 55 ready for the camping trip in two weeks, should be lots of cruiser wrenching this weekend

Oh I can drive it. I just have to stop every 5 min and squirt some oil in it. Though the hole in the side makes it very easy. Maybe I could throw some bondo over it and it would make the trip. :flipoff2:

Sweet I've got a case! a 75 that is in fairly good condition. I bought it from RK up in Roxboro, nc. I'll pick it up on thursday. He said some of ya'll had bought stuff from him before.

yeah. RK is a good man.

Troll, replacing the xcase is easy. Even i did it. Use a floor jack with a plywood baord on it to rasie and lower it. Have a gasket ready. Don't use just permatex.

So your saying your going to help also?
