More help needed. I was tearing down the ‘64 and found this (see below). At first I thought it was the Holy Grail (a.k.a. Vader Light) but my Vader Cover I got from @Krondor did not fit. Anybody tell me what I have here?

Hmmm. How come the cover does not fit on the socket? Am I doing something wrong?

The cover snaps over the ring with a bit of tension. If it’s close, it just needs a little more hot sauce (umph) to get it on

As the others have said, it is a vader light base. The cover is a little tight so some use of force is needed. I went with a tighter fit so there was less chance of the cover falling off during driving/off roading. Sometimes the bases can be "squashed down" if you bend in each of the little tabs, it helps allow the cover to fit better. Hope this helps.

In fact, I don’t recommend trying until you have a bulb in place as well. The less you mess with it, the better.
