Reaching out to the experts to help guide me on my oil leaks. For the record I have a 97 LX450 with 159k. Locked.

I just had a new valve cover gasket, oil pump gasket, distributor o ring replaced and front crank seal.

I'm suspecting I have a couple things going on.

1. Power steering lines are wet
2. Possibly something directly under the oil filter. Hopefully is just the cheap penzoil filter but it doesn't look to be the filter but something near it and it drips out directly below that area.

3. Got something going on back farther. I hope not the rear main.

I haven't driven it since Sunday. I put fresh cardboard underneath and it took 3 days for the drips to form.

Anyway, any help is appreciated because I want this to be 98 percent leak free. Not sure. 100 percent can ever be achieved.

Lots of pictures.
Thank you
Mark

Did you give the engine and the splash guards a good degrease and power wash after installing the above mentioned seals? The oil is usually sprayed all over the engine and splash guards. In time, that oil builds up and the heat of the engine helps it flow down to the bottom and drips very slowly.

Yes the whole engine and under carriage was steam cleaned after the repairs.

check the bottom of the distributor. replacing the o-ring will stop some of the leak but oil will also leak thru the shaft. It enters the cap and spills out thru a small hole on the bottom. from there it hits the belts and goes ape s***. I wound up putting in a new distributor. It's either that or the power steering hoses are leaking.

Power steering pump leaking, it will leak out the back of the pump right next to the oil filter. Resealing is pretty straight forward.
