Sorry but at this time I have not received any bumpers or information on them. I too am in need of a set but might have a lead soon on a cross ref number I found. Will post if it's a good find.
Cheers

toy29,

Happy motoring

Bumper Update

Well the rubber bumpers are in from the far east and this is what I have:
Reff to the last thread (from BANGKOK). SEE PHOTOS
The two bumpers are of the same height as in tall but the new bumper is a slight wider, and as for the bumper height, it is lower than the original.
Okay when I put one bumper on the right side of the body it did not come into contact with the gate, but that is because one set of hinge bolts of the four hinges for the gate were hitting the frame resting the bolts on the surface. So I have a bit of a warp on the gate or the surface. Looked at the one on the left side and the gate make contact with the bumper nicely. With that said each gate is going to be a little different I guess.
As for the bumpers I am going to use them for now as the seem to work and is better than nothing. As you can see in the photos the hole are perfect for mounting right down to the nub and recessed hole.
If you want a set you can go to the Ebay link on the last thread or you can do a search on Ebay and fine a company in Trout Dale OR that had them for $20
I am still trying to fine some blocks of hard rubber to cut and shape my own to OEM look alike. So with the said, on with life and I will live with these for awhile.

Now it over for me-what about you ?

Okay after my disappointing but close results on the bumper the other day I found in my draw the small collection of parts to create the tailgate stops. The Dorman control arm bushing part number 31061 that miker has shown in the original part of this LONG search was laying there so I decided to do some surgery on the beast. Using the old one, I scribed a outline onto the bushing. With my doctors hack saw cut off the dead limbs, and with a small amount of filing the bolt hole next to the bumper hole I installed the new bumper in its new spot with a nylon lock nut. I am NOW done with this quest. Still have body work to do so I will fill the old bumper holes. Looks dam good to me, and works nicely.
so you guys that need them, give it up and buy the Dorman part. Its the little stuff that kills you.
