I have the opportunity to purchase a 82 2F engine with no intake. Long block with exhaust. I have a 69 with original F engine. My question is can parts be swap (intake) with each other, and is it a direct bolt on. 3 speed tranny. My f engine is knocking. Thanks

90% bolt on.
The manifold studs are smaller for F manifolds. You’ll either need to drill the manifold holes larger or use studs that are stepped in size.

The three speed belhousing will bolt onto the 2F block without any modifications.

If the price is fair I’d go for it.

Sounds tricky drilling a couple of half-holes, one being aluminum, the other iron. I'd try to locate stepped studs. Were you planning on using the '82 exhaust manifold?
