Hey All,
I recently acquired titles for a 76 FJ55 and a 73 FJ40. Neither is running. As you can tell by the pictures, these vehicles have been sitting for several years. The interior of the 73 is stripped but the engine is intact. The interior of the 76 is rough but it's all there and engine is also intact. I don't know when the last time was that these things ran and I don't know the backstory behind them. They belonged to a family member that passed away. I would like to get these sold and don't really know where to start. Any recommendations on pricing and the best place to sell these things would be greatly appreciated. Please review the pictures and let me know your recommendations. Located about 30 minutes drive from Albuquerque, NM.

Thank you!

Others with far more knowledge will chime in. But I would think that it would help determine values if you could determine if either or both of the engines are seized. For the 55 you may want to post in the section dedicated to Pigs here..

Those are both pretty solid looking. I agree, post them in the classifieds here.

Does the 40 have a top or doors?

Start high and take best offer on price. Maybe 8-10k each, based on what I've seen non runners selling for lately.

Thank you! No doors or top on the 40 unfortunately.

If the 73 has an intact reverse light probably add another $300 to the value. Those were one year only light. But how stripped the vehicle looks doubt it's there. Speedometer cluster was one year only as well. While a small difference the front was different too. Would put the 40 far less valuable than the 55. Interior is gone. No top or doors of any kind. If original three speed transmission and drum brakes all around. 55 would have a four speed transmission and disc brake axle in the front. 55 really depends on the body and interior condition. Fenders, rockers and roof are famous for rust. 40 series has much more support for replacement parts and more of them are bolt on parts. 40 series hard tops have shot up in value would still probably cheaper to add than dealing with double wall rust on a fixed top vehicle. I have too many FJ40 already including a 73 factory soft top. If I was younger would probably take a drive to inspect the FJ55. Have home in Arizona not far from I-40. Many someone in Albuquerque could do an inspection and give you a better idea on value. A couple pictures are not much to go on as far as value.
