How do I know which ones are good to order from?

I don't recall there being many options, and seem to think there were some reviews and maybe even a money back guarantee on the one I got.

Nice find MikeKennedy.

I just burned and installed mine in my 2006 LX...it works great!

Yoeddy1 - The file is @8.42 GBs, so you will need to use a Dual Layer DVD, as they have a capacity of 8.5 GBs. Burn it as a .ISO file and you should be good to go.

I agree with the Dual Layer DVD, however you mention the file is 8.42 GBs.

The file Actually reads 7.82 GBs.

Are you downloading a different file? Please advise your findings.

Thank you -

Yes I confirm - works perfect!

Thank you!!

Somewhere in the menus you can see what version of software is installed. Anybody remember where that is? Good way to verify the version.

Thanks,
Jason

Is this something you can buy from the dealership or from Lexus?

(I don't download copyrighted torrents)

It's available from a Lexus dealer.

OT, but I do pretty well fixing computers and networks...fixing boxes where owner plays with bit torrent sites definitely helps.:p

Not saying all are evil, but watch your tail.

Ahh yes I forgot, and if it was a snake, it would have bitten me.

Press the menu button. In the upper righthand corner, press the Map DVD button. Should show

Data: ver.13.1

There's also a button that shows all covered areas.

Thanks,
Jason

I think it's something like $250.00

FWIW, The nav override (Menu, top left bottom left etc.. ) doesnt work in this version. I was under the impression that v11 and v12 had the override enabled.

Another happy camper here.... it finds my house now and hood!

I just get an update disk from my dealer every couple of years in October. Reliable, easy, legal, and really not that expensive at $169. I admit to paranoia about the obscenely expensive navigation system hardware/firmware in my '04 and I'm just enough of a skeptic about downloaded files and burned disks to be willing to spend what amounts to $85 a year to keep my nav relatively up to date.

I just used memorex dual layer dvd+r 8.5gb

The first copy i burned didnt check ok when i verified the data but second copy checked out ok

Oddly identical experience - same DVD+R and 2nd copy worked.

Sandroad, where do I send your beer?!? Thank you!

I didn't think override worked in several past revisions. How do you override?

Jason

My understanding was that Override stopped working from rev 6.1 through 10.1, I have not confirmed this but apparently 11.1 and 12.1 had the override. And now its gone again in 13.1.
