These guys usually get them several times a year. just put yourself on the list to be notified via e-mail and you get one for 20 bucks. They may not have been in the battle of the bulge, but they are the real jerry can design.

That was my first source, but seems as of 12/30-09 there waas a nation wide freeze on all sales. I called the above Briggs/Stratton and there was 4 in Florida, hopefully will have the spring type lid. Thanks

I just ordered a set of 4 from Deutsche Optik. (Not being shipped here to California, obviously! ) They are expecting their shipment to come in mid-February. If you want to order from them, I'd recommend doing so ASAP. If you don't get on the list for this shipment, you may have to wait a while.
