What jerry cans do you like?

yes, the ballooning of the plastic cans is a problem. But to be fair, my NATO metal cans do that visibly too, although probably to a lesser degree.

After a recent trip with a plastic Scepter fuel can that was significantly bloated, I was hoping to find another option. Has anyone here experienced a failure of the Scepter can due to bloating? Maybe the bloat is due to the vapor pressure of the ethanol blend? Would an ethanol free gasoline put less pressure on the container?

Great question, pal! I did have one fail/micro split on the side of it. It was strapped like yours was but horizontal on the roof of my 40…was there for about 2months. June/july. 😬

Been using Wavians for years. I take the spout apart and remove the spring. You manually push the valve open. Its the only can I have found that I can fill up the truck without spilling a drop. Just remove the spout when you are done.

I have 3 surplus sceptre that have served me well. I got fresh gaskets and high flow spouts from jagtme Pour Spout - Scepter MFC, Diesel, High Flow, 28mm 1 1/8 - https://jagmte.com/collections/scepter-mfc-accessories/products/pour-spout-scepter-mfc-diesel-high-flow-28mm-1-1-8

Also get the wrench to remove the cap.
^^^. This I have 6 that I picked up about 15+ years ago. I added new viton gaskets rebuilt the interior caps with jagmte aluminum. Solid set up. My wrench I picked up from a MUD member that was making them.

SOmewhere there is a thread where a MUD member runs up to Canada and grabs new cans.

I've purchased from him....would and will again.
