Name and PN for this part? (Fusible Link Block thingie?)

Battery light came on while driving last night

Did a quick voltage check and she wasn't charging

I was about 30 minutes from home, but she ran fine on the primary battery and got me home safe with plenty of juice to spare

Got up this morning, checked all the connections and found a smoked fusible link

It was probably due to being stretched out on my endless stack of ring terminal connections, but more on in a bit

Had a spare link in the glove box, but when I tried to remove the old one, the brittle stud block thingie cracked in my hand

Anyone have a the part number for this?

The parts monkey at my local stealership doesn't have a clue and only came up with the fusible link part number

On a sidenote, I've been meaning to upgrade my battery terminal to get rid of the clutter of wires and don't want to add another fuse block (already have one)

Anyone running one of these multi-post terminals or sumthin similar?

They're kinda spendy, so I'm looking for a cheaper option

Run a link to a busbar or fuse block and add your accessories there. That would be the best way to do it. I added the terminals to be able to add additional circuits for fuse blocks, winch, dual battery and whatever.

Already have a distribution fuse block for other accessories that takes up a bit of room on top of the batt

I have the secondary battery main and winch cables running to the terminal directly and they sit kinda high (a bit too close to the hood for my liking)

I was looking into busbars when I stumbled upon the multi-post terminal.

Looks like it would get things done pretty solid if I fit one between the smaller marine terminal

I've just made some of these terminal plates for my cruiser as I am unemployed and lots of things are out of my price range and hey if I can make it then why not. They are made from Galvanised plate strip and cut into lengths with a hole to fit the terminal bolt and then 2 holes tapped for small bolts with a washer, spring washer and wingnut and bent to make it so they are not too tall and touch the bonnet when closed. They cost me nothing but the parts I had in the workshop. They took me a few hrs to make but hey my labour is free. I fitted them to both batteries and both terminals on each battery. I hope this helps. I will be wiring up my power gauge and other things to these in the next few days.

Success!!

So glad I don't have to pull the alternator

Now to work on cleaning up the bundle of snakes

Already ordered a bus bar to move all the small time grounds away from the marine terminal (they're mainly for a timed video relay system for the hidden starter switch)

Once I have it on hand, I'll see if I the quality is good enough to use on the positive terminal as well
