SoCal lab results of Nakman's mic holders with pics.

I'd contacted Tim about fit of his mic holder next to the rear heater control for a '94. His is a newer 80 and the lip above these slots doesn't stick out quite so far and I was concerned about fit. He made a prototype that extended out further and it ended up being way to far (based on my half arsed measurements). Tim said 'trust me' and give my original design for this location a try. Trust in Tim! Fit on both my Uniden CB mic and Yaesu FT-8800 mic was perfect! Pics of both mics in that location with Tim's original design and the third with the prototype extended version. I can highly recommend Tim's orignal version. I also have one of his center console mic clips that fits perfectly into the coin slot. Ham mic stays in that location as I use it more frequently around town.
