More work on the trailer this weekend. Worked out how I to hinge the lid.

I treated the inside of the outer skin with an ironizer & sealer to stop any rust.

Was able to get the body & tailgate painted and bolted it back on the chassis. Also fitted the tail lights too.

This afternoon saw me get the new ubolts fitted, I also painted the inside of the body & I finished the lip that goes around the top of the body & screwed it down.

Nice work! Keep it up!

Thanks VI.
I managed to get another couple of hours on it again this afternoon. I got the alloy sheet to wrap around the front for a bit of extra protection & a bit of bling.

It so close to bieng done now. Today I got stuck into the hard top for the trailer. After measuring & re-measuring & then measuring again I cut the first top down to the halfway mark & then cut the second top down to make up the rear half. I used an 8" section of the fibreglass roof to fix to the inside of where both the tops met. Tomorrow I'll be glass reinforcing it.

Today I got the trailer to the point where it's finished except for the seal around the hard top & I still haven't worked out the struts to hold the lid up, but that will come later.
I fitted the flares & got my tyres put on some spare 10" rims that I had in the shed.
I did have one hiccup that pissed me off but I'll fix that later too.

And this is the thing that wrecked my day. While drilling a hole for a bracket the drill bit broke & the drill smacked the inside of the back wall fracturing the filler on the outside. :bang:

Perfect! Certainly looks like belongs out behind your 40. Now just imagine the stuff you can fill it up with. J

Just finished a road trip. No off road stuff but we did cover 2700klm's. The trailer towed perfectly. Not a worry at all. Now I just need an off road trek to test it out.

Haven't checked in here for a while. But the trailer is still working well and getting used. Here's a pic I'd taken on our last trip up to the north coast of NSW late last year.
