Yes it's an ARB style locally made roof rack, not sure how close in design to the original ARB but at least very stout.

Here a pic of when it was mine (I think it looks better with your round lights Frank)

Hey Jay!!! long time my friend hope all is going well.. I will be posting some new updates in the next few weeks plus i am headed to another rally in February you gonna come!!!!!

Hey Carlos thanks,

I bought the LED tail lights here in Cartagena.. They are pretty sweet!!!

Gracias

Hi Frank,

your rig looks great, very clean and solid!
The pictures of Colombia are also very nice !

I just wanted to ask you regarding all the lifting .... 3" suspension lift + 1,5" spacers ... are you not suffering from torn cv boots or cv failures?

Also, is your 90 series a 2008 model?? I thought this was discontinued in 2002, replaced by the 120 ...

Keep it up, your thread is very refreshing, interesting and exotic, great stuff!

Thanks
Christopher

Hey Christopher Thanks for the compliments..

My 95 is a 2008 Model, they are built here in colombia. They havent discontinued building them here. As for the question of my suspension. I havent had any issues with the CV boots tearing, But I have had issued with my tie-rod ends, they break alot, I have decided not to lenghthen them to compensate for the lift, but I have decided to remove the 1.5" spacers and leave the Suspension as TJM designed it.

I will be posting new pics of my rig, with the TRD supercharger Installed. I havent done any recent trips but I am planning a trip to Venezuela next month for a off road festival. So I will be able to post up some sweet pics...

Cheers

Frank

Hey ... there is too much excitement building here :bounce: .... 2008 model ... TRD turbocharger  ..... we need to talk more ....

Pls clarify regarding the 95 series ... I am not aware of that one (Europe) ... do you have IFS or normal axle in the front? If axle, what is the diameter?

Also, regarding the TRD turbocharger - I was not aware that it is available for our engine (we have the same engine) ... Pls provide some more info .... costs ... source ...

I agree with you on removing the 1.5" suspension spacers ... they make the ride stiffer ... you have large tires, but the 3" suspension lift should be adequate for them ... next step should be a minor body lift, if you are still having issues with tires rubbing ...

How are the prices of accessories/parts in Colombia?

Cheers,
Christopher

Mate, I've got to say that I really like the way that you think. You're going to love it with Blower bolted on, hardly a day goes by when I don't miss my old Prado. The TRD Supercharger really does take a great Truck to a whole new level. I posted up a picture of the finished product on my "old picture" thread if you can't wait to see yours.

Can you shed some light on the differences between a 90 and a 95 series ?

What is the cost of adding the TRD supercharger?

Thanks
Christopher

P.S. - Matty - the best photo is the one with 3 added extras on the front ... actually ALL your photos are great!

Well Christopher, The difference between a 90 Series and a 95 is that the 90 Series is a 2-door Model Like this one:

And the 95 series is a 5 door model like mine.

Well a TRD Supercharger for this engine costs around $3000USD But in Colombia it can easily cost almost 3 times that. I was lucky that I bought mine used and for the price it would have cost new.

Thanks Matty, you are definately right, I have a whole new truck> The car is totally different.. I love the accelaration and my favorite is the winding noise that comes from the Engine!!!!:grinpimp::grinpimp:

The 95 series comes with IFS. No solid front axle but I like it that way. You can get a TRD supercharger anywhere online, in the states our engine is used in the Tacomas. So it would be easy to find one. I have taken off my huge 305 tires and put some Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires 285/70/17, I am looking for some Mud Tires in the same size. I think that this is the adequate size for the suspension I am running. The prices for accessories in Colombia is always at least double of what it normally costs in the US. Its rediculous but if you want it you have to dish out the bills..

Cheers

Will take some pics of my rig and will post soon!!!

Lucky Bastard. :flipoff2:
How much fun is it now!! They sound great don't they? Most people think it's going to be a rally car until they see it.

So what's next? My vote is for a nice set of custom sliders & a mild body lift.

Thanks Christopher, thats one of my favorite photos too, it's the biggest drawback with wheeling a 40 - There only room for 1 winch :princess:

Cheers,
Matty
