the bezel patina doesnt match anything else.
Oddly enough, the bezel on my '64 is the most original and intact paint on the rig. Tempted to leave it as is, but it might not be quite good enough after painting the rest of the rig.

Don't paint it. I will trade you another one that needs painted if you go that route

I'll keep your offer in mind. I suspect I will paint the body and parts first, then see how the bezel (which has a few flaws) looks on it before making a decision. Since I'm not planning to make the body perfect, a flawed but original bezel might still be OK. Or not...

Not to thread jack, but I'm also looking for a nicely patina'd bezel from a 67 and have a nice one to trade. Mine has been lightly coated in black paint at one point or another, so it's in great shape, but I would prefer to keep it more 'original'.

I like it, believe it was the same one listed last year. Friend looked at it and thought it had been painted , I'll see if he still has the pics. Either way cool patina and looks great.

Mini hijack - @oregon fj the patina on your rig is sweet. I vote no paint for you! :-)

I can’t imagine looking at a time capsule like that and not buying it.

@Indygbd I was checking out the classifieds site at the link you provided...is that where you found it? Doesn't look like they post the price or date on the listings. Do you know if they are current? For example, my FJ40 can still be found on a similar style classifieds site, but it's been sold for over a year.

Very nice find. Congratulations. :)

Great truck!!! Whatever isn't "factory" far as paint color schemes go/parts factory coated or not, that's absolutely worlds better to 'correct' than having to fill all sorts of holes from rot, dash drills, ugly ball antennas, etc. etc..
Good luck with it, I can't wait to see what your plans are!
