Well folks, it looks like the truck won't be done by the 22nd as promised. I am going to have to cancel/delay the HAMOM. I am sorry to screw up everyone's plans.

Do you have a tv in the garage/driveway next to the piggie? Might have to go to a wedding but you can always mail a gift cant miss a game though.

I would love to help, but I'm committed to my niece's first birthday party :princess: Hope all goes well...

Heather I will try my best to come. It's the weekend before the AM and I have a feeling it will be a little crazy just for me. But If I can I will. You have given so much to the club it's about time we give something back.

Thanks Marshall. I understand that it's just before the AM and I am ticked that I picked September but I gotta get it done before the Pig Run.

On that note, since I am cookin' a youngin' in this belly, I can't do a lot of what I was going to do on the pig. No sanding, no chemicals, no beer...blah blah blah.

So I am packing the pig up and sending it to a fab/body shop to have them finish up the repairs (welding) and paint it. I am sad to do it and it won't be done the way I would have done it. But realistically, it's what I gotta do at this point. They are saying they can have it done before the 22nd, so keep your fingers crossed.

Well, as fun as that sounds Marshall (and we can still do that, promise!) I will have a full plate for everyone.

The goal is to have it back from the shop and ready to reassemble. So we have choices.

1) Marshall, if you are here you are my fuel supply guru. I hope to have my carb back from Jim C all brand spankin new-like. I also have a new mechanical fuel pump and all the pieces and parts to rebuild the linkage (bell crank and all).

2) Dan is the man on the suspension. I have new Alcans and all the goodies (new shackles, pins, shocks, bushings, etc.), rebuilt hubs, and brand new wheels and tires all just itching to go on.

3) Does anyone have any idea how many stinking little parts there are on a pig? About a basement full. Lot's of stuff needs to be reassembled to get her ready to go. Everything from installing the heaters I've rebuilt to putting the headliner in.

We'll have plenty to do. We certainly don't have to get all that done, just wanted to give a good representation of what's here to do!

Oh, and all that beer and food stuff too. :)

If anyone throws cans at my (besides Heather) they get broken. Heather is allowed since she is my sister.

my wife and i would love to make it and so far that date is open . . . we'll get directions later and figure out what we'd do when we get closer to the time

Fantastic!!! I can't wait to see everyone!

An update on the truck. On Tuesday it went to the body shop for some new floorboards, a little rocker adjustment, and body work and paint.

And, they didn't even make fun of Steve's welding. OK, well...they did a little.

It's supposed to be done on the 21st, so keep your fingers crossed!

I really appreciate everyone who was going to help, and especially those coming from far away. I'll just reschedule a local wrenching day again after the truck is back from the body shop.

Sorry again.
