I would like to see if I can add larger tires, I was thinking of having a set of carbon fiber barrel wheels made for the gx, not real cf, just overlaid on the aluminum, roughly 900$/wheel

Something along these lines, but I'm not sold on the style

GX550 and Land Cruiser seem to be pretty much the same for wheel/tire fitment. The GX OT might actually have a bit more room since it gets wider fenders and lower offset wheels from the factory.

Those wheels are beautiful by themselves. I am struggling to picture them on a blocky GX with big off road tires. I think the colorway is rad, but can't decide if I think the skinny spokes will look cool or weird on the GX.

I think I will probably end up being a basic bitch and doing a TE37XT clone, black matte face, with the black cf barrel
