Amen !!!

Hey guys....so I got my ECU back from FIS and after sticking a note asking them to delete the fan control...they didn't.... Onward....!!!

I have been driving this pig around town and been getting the P0446 code which is a evap circuit code.... I read somewhere that it has to do with overfilling the tank..we'll see...

Around town this pig has been giving me 12mpg but then again I think it has to do with that heavy foot of mine ....:grinpimp::grinpimp:

I decided to take it on a long trip this past weekend and we drove up to Sequoia/Kings Canyon NP down to roads end and spend a couple of days up there.

THE GOOD:
After crunching some numbers and running stock gears with 31's and driving around 75 to 80 mph.. I was getting around 18mpg.

Im sure if I had stay at the 65-70mph I could of done 18.5 maybe 19mpg.

With the rebuilt front axle and OME suspension the ride felt pretty firm and steady..... My water temp never went past 202F and usually ran at 197F and tranny temps on the stepest of hills (tree rivers off of 198hwy )got to 237F.

THE BAD:
My scanner still reads "not ready" after 700+miles of driving.
No A/C... maybe this week....it was hot down by Bakersfield......
On the way back I stop to fuel up and when I turn the key I would not start. After calling AAA and 10 min of waiting it, I decided to turn the key one more time and it started without any issues.. I think I might have a loose wire somewhere (no not me, the truck )

Here are some poser shots and scanner readings....
Im quite stoked about the MPG as I never thought it would be that good....
As $$ becomes available I'll be running 33's on stock gears and a roof tent...
Im sure that will have an effect on MPG

Cheers !!!:beer::beer: P8010252 (Medium).JPG

Great work Frank. Looks like a nice ride and the mileage aint that bad. So what are you going to do on the codes? Also if you buy new sneakers it seems to help on the gas mileage:D

Obviously that reading is incorrect.....84mph in a cruiser?! :flipoff2:

wow.. you brought this thread back from way back then...

Are you still planning on doing an engine swap on that fj80 ?

MANU

I just read this whole thread and WOW nice job!
So it has been a few years now, what is the long term report?
How is it running?
Did you get the codes figured out.
What about the auto tranny, how do you like it?
You went into alot of detail and we all thank you for that.
RAMZ.
