I really want to try one of these; you pull a vacuum on your system with a compressor via the venturi effect. After, stick the pickup line in a jug of coolant to suck it all into the system. Since it's pulled by vacuum, it could even fill the heater core in one pass...

I got sick of screwing around with trying to get the air out. I bought one of these, and it works pretty slick. Takes all the guesswork and pain out of it.

Works with your air compressor that sucks a vacuum in the whole cooling system by the air blowing past a venturi. Sucks the radiator hoses flat.

I've never had any problems with air bubbles in my system all the times I've had it apart/empty. Just have both heater hoses all the way open when burping it, and top it off a couple times as the last of the air is pushed out and coolant is sucked in via the overflow tank.

It may also be worth getting the diesel filler neck (wide mouth option with no 90 degree bend) welded in to the petrol version radiator, this removes all of the problem as well.

The vacuum works good but a little more expensive than the funnel and requires shop air. I like the KISS method (keep it simple stupid) Less to go wrong.

Where is the fill cap located?
Better yet, got a pic?

I just tried this and I have a ques. after running the eng while the funnel was in it filled the funnel up about 3/4 of the way. I let the eng get to about 205 the upper rad hose was hot so i know the therm opened up. is this normal. I did not get any bubbles.

Is your right front elevated? Heaters running? If so and you can't get any air out of it even squeezing the hose occasionally, then you're probably pretty close to 'burped'.

Under normal conditions then your next moves would be to drive it, keep an eye on the overflow reservoir, and top it off if needed. If you're still overheating though, your issues lie elsewhere - clutch fan, radiator, pump....
