I will try to get some work done this weekend... New coils, new wheel bearings, longs, and a little check on my front air locker which seems to be leaking... :doh:

Gunnar Ingvi - Blasmija ehf here you get them, the widest are about 18cm. And they are made for 44" tires without lifting the car. Mine are about 11 cm front and a bit less rear. Made for 37s. Expect some cutt`n.... :flipoff2:

What rim backspacing have you been using? English or metric units, doesn't matter to me. I use em both daily. I've been wanting to turn my '94 4x4 pickup into an off road Micro RV and don't really want to lift it at all if possible. I wish to maintain driveability on highway as well as gain off road utility for fire trails and snow. Doing body work to make new fenders isn't an issue. I have to do a bunch for the RV back. Why not the front too. I've been thinking of 35" x 12.5" tires as the target design size, but it sounds like I may be able to go larger.

I have run lots of rims... 15x10 -44, 15x12 -72, 15x12 with welded beadlocks which probably is -90, now I run 15x10 locked -60.

Make a build-up thread, looking forward to follow your truck.:cheers:

It is a '94 4x4 DLX pickup, regular cab, short bed and it's seen 245,000 miles so far. I bought it new and used it all the time until the trany failed a few years back. It'll likely be spring or summer before I start on the back. At that point it gets interesting and I'll do a thread then. Right now I'm designing it and working on fixing little things like replacing the transmission and removing a mouse nest in the ventilation blower fan. Lots of little things. I may also do a new wiring harness. The mice chewed on a couple of parts of it. I'd have finished all the little bits if it wasn't so bloody cold out this winter.

Thanks for the info. You are using around what I expected. I'd been looking at using 2" back spacing which would be 51mm or so.

I got some dobinson springs with 2" lift made for the land cruiser 80 series. I ordered ome 863s, but got these instead. :mad: They were n`t tall enough, and I`m know talking to slee-offroad about getting the [FONT=&quot]SOR5RM which provides a stock 80 series with 7" lift. I think these will give me the hight needed and because of the stiffness in these they will make the difference between leafs in front and coils rear less noticeable.

The length of the dobinson springs were the same as 3,5" lift coils (57240-1 pro comps) for my runner. I also have 2" all-pro coil spacers (which I would like to remove), and need about 2" more to get the needed hight. So 7" slee`s would do the trick I guess. But I am a bit concerned about their stiffness.. Anyone with opinions on the subject?

I am considering going for leafs rear too, but the prices here are way to high... So I HAVE TO try a coil solution first... :doh:

And again, I would like to point out that I`m Norwegian. So don`t complain about my sometimes poor English. :grinpimp:
