I have now started grinding the ifs mounts. So the project is slowly moving forward.

I have rebuilt the knuckle houses, still waiting for some parts. Also waiting for the diff with new gears and air locker. I reckon much work will be done this weekend.

Will post pix... :D

I would think it is lighter with SA... Theres lot of steel to remove, a-bars, heavy diff, t-bars, .... lots...

Dont know how to get a number for you, but I would think theres a significant change. And I have removed a few to many parts to measure...

So the feathered weight will be lower... You will move at least 50kg from feathered to unfeathered weight. Which will make it more stable...

*Yes I am! A newbie to all tech-terms here...

Sorry bout that! :D

I will hopefully not make the same mistake twice... ;)

Nice rides man. I like that you rocked the IFS so long with 39s on your runner. Badass. Your BJ is awesome too, I'd definteily like to see some more shots of that thing.

Finally rolling again! Not quite ready to drive, maybe in a few days. Still waiting for my diff:mad:

A few pix...

The front hight looks to be a problem at the moment, but I will let the springs settle and also mount a winch in the front. I have removed one leaf and it feels soft.

When I have received my pro comp link-drop adapter for my rear suspension and the new all-pro link arms I will order special hight coils so it will be level again. ;)

Its gonna be expensive... sigh...

That is sexy man!!!!! Makes me want to start cuttin' on my truck!!! :D

X2!! X2!!!

4runner porn :grinpimp: !

You make me gitty when I'm looking at my baby (cruiser!) in the drive way!
My 80 is parked next to it, yeah built like a tank, but think my runner will get into AND OUT OF many more places.

All I gotta do is motor and axles.
I'd have to break out the sawzall to get the 80 to go behind the runner.

Just start!!! It will take a bit more time than you anticipate... And a few more parts... Its better to buy a working, and newly used front axle than to get a crappy one for free. I spent around 600 usd on bearings and shait... :frown: But now, most of it is new....

DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!! I think the runner is a much more capable car, because of weight and that it shouldn't need to much work to get wicked! And even when I still ran the IFS I would keep up with and have better results than yota minitrucks and different cruisers... A few of them even had selectable lockers front and rear... :grinpimp:

There will be more pix in a few days, need to finish it now...

Where did you get those fender flares? Only ones I found were Bushwackers which are very small and JDM which are fiberglass so break on impact.

Sorry, haven`t seen the question before now... The flares are from Alltplast They are islandic-flares made from fiberglass. They will set you back around 1000usd.

Haven`t done much with my car, have installed everything and are waiting for some parts which will arrive soon.

I have ordered some pro-comp parts to lover the 4-link arms to allow more flex.

I also have ordered the OME 860 (or 863) coils to compensate for how tall it has become up front.

I have a long-slip kit lying around.

I Have the trail-gear winch mount with my new Warn m-8000 winch ready to be installed.

New wheel bearings is about to be installed.

I also ordered a set of 38x15,5 SSR`s on 15x10 beadlocked wheels. Looking forward to getting them, posting a pic below... (sold my Iroks, wanted 39,5 Iroks but just a bit too tall...)
