Sooo very sorry for the late update!

As luck would have it, sometimes things don't go as fast as you would like them too! Ha.

I FINALLY got a laser company to give me a quote and do the job. Of course their "1 week" time turned into a bit longer. And this was after a screw up with the prototype, but they got them done and I have them! I have learned as some small guy hitting up a big production company for a little job, sometimes you don't get the treatment as a big job. That's okay. Not complaining! ;)

The great news is these are waaay cleaner than mine that I made. These are obviously laser cut. All I have to do is spot weld them together now (my plan this weekend), and get them to the powder coating company. I also grab the stainless hardware too in the next week and then we are good to go!

Thanks for the patience!! We're close!!! :bounce:

Two quick questions for the benefit of the people who follow in your footsteps -

1. How did you go about enlarging the existing hole in the ARB?

2. Where did you draw power from for the ignition-switched circuit?

Getting closer, folks! I was able to get them all welded up (took me a few days longer, there is a lot! lol) but I am ready to drop them off to the powdercoater in the next day or two. He should have them about a week or so. We are close!

For HoosierDaddy, enlarging the hole was done by masking off the area to be cut out and then using a sawzall to cut to the width portions (top and bottom of the rectangular hole). You can then either use a dremel with a cut-off wheel for the ends, or do the fillet style of trimming (diagonal cuts to the ends) to get the final sections out. (if that makes sense).

I would like to officially get in line for a set of these bad boys!!

revision II ?

WildYoats, questions:
- with the lights mounted to these brackets, are the lights aimed directly ahead, or slightly to the sides?
- can you post a close-up photo of the lights within the brackets? I'd like to better see the recess, and thinking of possibly tightening up the open gap.
- you mentioned having ideas for version II in your opening post... what ideas might those be?

In any case, nice work and thanks for sharing  ... looking forward to them!

Howdy folks! We are soooooooo very close! I picked up all the brackets from the Powdercoater the other day and I went to the nut and bolt supply store to pick up bags and bags of stainless hardware (but they still did not have everything I needed quite yet). I should hear from them in the next day or two.

I need to whip up some instructions and a template to be included and get them all on my website or Ebay then and I will let you all know. I hope to have it all done within the next week. I'm not going to take any money until these can be shipped the same day. :)

Also, Fullscale, to answer your questions:
The ARB bumpers on the sides (where these mount) are slightly angled (from looking at them from the top). I made the brackets specifically so that the mounting platform in the back is angled so the light can face forward. In another words, one side is deeper than the other side. And yes, the brackets are left and right specific because I put a beauty plate on the bottom of the new versions (so you cannot see through the bracket if looking in if that makes sense).

Here's a shot of the set!

They look great and once the LED lights are add it to them ,there are going to be awesome, can't wait.

The thing that I am not clear on is if the lights come with it, or if we need to find our own .
If we need to find our own, how do we know which ones to get?
Are these still priced at around $50? (IIRC)
