Ask @65swb45 what 44 smells like after I take those boots off!!
Chester tore the hell out of this set today... But we have others.
Yep!!FRITOS!!!!
Hey Danny, is that same canyon we hiked? It looks very familiar. Looks like you might have paced yourself and gone further up canyon than we made it together.
Yes I am still rebuilding carbs. Just finished up a pair of 1962 SD40 blue window carbs I posted a pic on Friday. Just finishing up a steering box today and have a 1972 carb on deck.
Also been very busy with the hands on demolition and renovation of the new offices for the shop. I need to post up pics in the fire thread. I've been at the home improvement store when they open every day for a week. I feel absolutely blessed to wake up each day after a solid 6-7 hours of sleep and pain free.![]()

Yep!!
Feet smell so delicious, you just want to eat them up!!
Are you still rebuilding carb's, Mark?
I have a spare Aug, '78 carb and a Hygrade kit... But, no finger dexterity remaining, for tiny parts...
Say you're interested and I'll give you a call this week.
Danny
Scott is in LV right now and could pick up the carb if its ready to go. I lost your ph# or I would call.
Yup. The plan was to call IF he could do it. He was a passenger/ helper on this trip, and was in Henderson when I got ahold of him. His friend, the driver, wanted to hit the road out of town as soon as they got done loading the truck.
Its all good.
First time I read this I thought D**n I didn't know Mark @65swb45 had a FJ45LV in his fleet, but it didn't suprise me...Scott is in LV right now and could pick up the carb if its ready to go

Danny,
I apologize for bringing up down feelings, but I just caught up on your posts and I am sorry to hear about Gunner. I enjoy reading about your adventures. . . in fact I quite envy you with the time you are able to spend with man's best friend and machine. As one that deals with furry members of the family on a regular basis I get to meet and interact with all types of dog owners. . . I honestly say I wish more of them could be like you in the way you care for and interact with your four legged friends. There is never an easy answer to know when the time comes to make one of life's most difficult decisions (it was for me anyway), but I think you did just right. Gunner had some good times and his suffering was kept to a minimum. . . it would not have been long before the bad days started to outnumber the good.
Again, I am sorry to be so late to send my condolences. I am sure you know that Gunner is still with you and I am sure there will be moments when you will catch him out of the corner of your eye in your future adventures.

I told my hiking friends the whole story last week. I think that sharing these stories is an essential part of being human.
I also told them I will never look at an Orange Dreamsicle the same.
