I had a lot of bare metal on the front end that I did not want to rust while I fixed the rest of it so I primer the front with rattle can primer.

That is great progress. Nice job. Any more pics of the inside and rear quarter progress?

I feel your pain on the body/paint work, it sucks!

Good job!

Nice job on the sheet metal work. I am finishing a rear bumper, but am going to have to dig into the sheet metal and do a new rear sill. What kind of a welder will you be using?

I just have a small century 110v wire feed mig welder. But it works well

I got both sides fabed up and tacked in today. I did not make the little bumps or ridges like the factory ones had. But I'm ok with that.
Once it's all welded in and ground down I think it will look good enough for me. I'm thinking about a rhino lining type stuff on the floor and over the wheel wells. Then it will all blend in.

I thinkit looks great, I wouldn't worry about rhino lining unless you really like the stuff. I think paint and the new metal will look awesome.

I like the rhino lining texture personally. ? We will see... I seem to change my mind on what I want to do to this thing all the time

Well in between work, vacations, doing body work and gathering up parts. I have been re-doing the seats myself. I bought new seat covers and all the foam. Painted the backs and frames with a gray Metallic paint and installed new stainless steel screws. I think it turned out pretty good.

Great work so far, what brand of roll cage is that?
I hope to be starting my '67 project soon, trying to get some ideas.

Thanks,
Bill

Wow, you've made a lot of progress since the last time I checked your thread! Great work on the sheet metal. I'm thinking seriously of doing truck bed liner in the back of mine, too. If I end up replacing the entire bed I'll paint it, but if it's pitted metal when I strip it, I'll probably just rhino it.

So I bought the primer and paint a few weeks ago and was planning on painting it in my garage. Till the other day when I was talking to a business client of mine. His son owns a shop in town and they just installed a new paint booth!!!!

So I talked with him and dropped it off today.
He is going to shoot it for me!

Super excited.
