Has anyone seen this or nearby that could look at it? Photos suck. Difficult to really tell much about it.

Nice original truck. I think it is fairly priced too!

Careful.... I spy some yellow overspray on some of the engine components ( more than just the valve cover ) i hope you find a mudder to check it for ya!

I think there is more rust there than you are thinking, front bib, driver rocker, etc,
X2 on the over spray,
wrong carb?
terrible exhaust routing

I swapped emails with him. He said there was body work and repaint done around 2005. Metal cut out, replaced etc. Original color was mustard but he repainted it olive. Doesn't look olive to me in the photos but that's what he said. Original engine and odo has rolled once. I asked specifically about floor panels and frame. He said floor panels were repaired, frame needed nothing and interior was sprayed with line-x. No A/C but power steering - I assume factory from the photos. Again, I'm just repeating what he wrote.

I'm about 45 miles away, if someone is seriously interested get in touch with me and I can inspect and send pictures, etc.

I may have a friend in Naples that might need someone to help her look at it (shopping for one of her daughter's) if it's still available and she finds time.

I had a fairly nice nearly identical 79 I sold in WPB approx. 23 years ago. Perfect interior, complete emissions, we put on new fenders and fixed some rear tub issues, looked great - but had inner frame rust and really needed a new rear tub.

Selling instead of fixing was biggest Cruise mistake I ever made.

I had a 79. Mark from marks off road said 79 was the worst carburetor ever put on a 40.
I put a troll hole carb on mine and the performance was night and day. 1000% better. Maybe not a bad thing if it is the wrong carb. Selling was my biggest mistake as well.
