Ok those with a Mr Buddy heater (the small one)...what do you set the heater on while in operation in a tent? The idea woudl be to avoid tipping the heater over and or burning the tent and potentially yourself?

What are some proven solutions?

If you have the room I'd use one of the insulating pads made to go under a wood stove ( one of the smaller ones)

Yea I was thinking of that or something similar like they make for the front of a fireplace and or wood heater/stove.

Not sure about how much heat you would get thru the bottom, but I sat one in a broiler pan this weekend while on the back porch to help prevent it from burning the carpet or tipping over.

Redneck, yes, but it worked.

Not sure about the older ones, but I just picked one up a couple weeks ago & it has a "tipover switch". Anything over about a 15* angle shuts off the gas.
