Were having a bumper party at my house in two weeks, Nick, Steen and Smittycrusher will be there. It would be a good time for Griffin, Peymon, Yeti and Taylor O to drop-by...as long as you don't mind being attacked by my wife's ferocious Yorkie.

Anything but your 300 pound guard dog. I'll be there with my rear bumper and zip ties

I'll do the OEM reboot kit, and Hella 500's. I'll pitch my tent by the pool.

work, wifey is due in two weeks, my oldest is playing football, rifle season opens this weekend....you guys get the point.

Would love to do a meet up but it may be a while before i can carve out the time. Don't give up on me, though.

Gotta love the 100 Forum... This new guys posts up pics of his new ride and people start making jokes and giving him a hard time then hijack the thread to organize a wrenching party and invite him over... Can't take anything personally around here... Most people are just trying to help even if it comes across as harsh sometimes...

Taylor O - if you want some good laughs lookup old threads from some of the other guys giving you a hard time and see what their rigs looked like when they first got them.

Very true, lets not forget where ole 2000UZJ began. This one does not even have the chrome brush guard either, albeit there are no permanent holes in here.

Oh dear god help me

this one gets my vote for thread of the month. Painful to watch at the beginning, turned somewhat entertaining, with a little useful tech sprinkled in. And the OEM harmonic nebulizer put it over the top- I spit coffee on that one. good one, Pfran.

come to think about it, we're about due for another one of those threads.. Carry on!

Wow those are, how do I say it, well just lets say they are one of a kind. Surely Taylor O does not have to worry about anyone else copying his steeze!

Also, look at loud, he put a police style flood light on the pilar and hasnt ripped it off wheeling. So, those that say you will rip it off are saying it from pure speculation.

Loud hasn't ripped his spotlight off for two reasons:

1. It's connected to the interior of the truck by a 3/4" thick beam of steel that is drilled through the a-pillar and secured via a bracket. It's designed not to come off.

2. It folds down and out of the way when not in use.

Taylors lights have neither of those things going for them, and on top of that the sheet steel of the hood is pretty thin. Very little speculation is going on here...if they get caught on something, they will either be ripped off, or severely deform the hood.

That being said, I don't think they look bad at all, and if they put out usable light then that is great. I'd really like to see pictures of how they are mounted, but without having that info, I will suggest the following to taylor if he wants to keep them:

1. As previously suggested, consider going with a matte hood blackout or matte clear coat to reduce glare (if that becomes an issue)

2. Make sure you have a nice beefy backing plate mounted on the inside of the hood to increase structural rigidity in that area. (you may have already done this, but again I have no pics to reference).

3. Consider adding some limb risers to help deflect any potential snags. They won't completely protect the lights due to where they are mounted, but will help some.

Mud is a learning experience, so relax and take it all in. Post some pics of how they are mounted and wired up if you don't mind. I'd like to see more.

Welcome.
