Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

BUYING ADVICE:

2018 LC with 78k miles. Blue onyx. Certified one owner. Super clean. $68k out the door

2017 LC with 39k miles. Black. Certified. Super clean. $73k out the door.

Thoughts?

To me, that's easy. Saving 50k miles for $5k is a good decision. And I might be in the minority here, but I think black can't be beaten.

But I'm not saying those are priced well.....just giving my thoughts on the comparison.

Definitely the lower mileage, if Black was one of your color choices!

What % sales tax is included? If it is like most states and these prices include ~10% for all taxes, registrations, and any dealer fees these look to be close to current retail levels and a decent price if they are Toyota Certified, which should give you a Toyota backed warranty and some degree of reconditioning, tires, brakes, filters etc.will have to meet a certain criteria.

There was 2019 Black certified LC with 37k miles listed for $72k a month ago, not sure if it sold… but those prices seem a bit high to me

Is this really a sticking point when you can get monitor delete plates for ~$200 and then sell the monitors online?

Yes, for me. I want the seat backs clean.

I’m also curious if occupants stay clear of both monitors (or delete plates) during accidents. I’d assume so or else Toyota and other mfrs wouldn’t do it.

About 15 years ago, I was in an accident with three cars. I was at a red light and was the front car. The car behind me got hit and their car hit mine. The car behind mine got hit so hard that the two 8 year old girls flew into the screens behind the head rest and both broke their noses. Their dad almost murdered the person who hit them. After seeing that, I refuse to have screens behind the head rest.

Just picked up this 2014 LX570 w/ 155k miles for $30,900 + TTL (small local dealer, awesome to work with, free car washes every Saturday for life )

- 2-owner car, all in central TX (absolutely 0 rust)
- Interior is mint
- Good service history since new, mostly serviced at a dealer, though longer oil change intervals then I'd go. New rotors and pads, also a relatively new radiator
- As expected, everything works

It's replacing the '09 Versa on the right, so quite the upgrade. Will be keeping it stock for a while and using it for longer road trips that we're just a bit difficult (and not all that comfortable) in my 80.

Anyone’s thoughts on:

2011 LC
- 228k miles
- Second owner since 60k/2015, claims service records every 5k but not at dealer
- Radiator and starter done last year
- No rust (Southeast history)
- A few scratches on bumpers, wear but no rips on drivers seat, some scratches on plastics in cargo area, nav screen has gone yellowish as I’ve seen in some other high mileage rigs (not sure what people do to fix this), everything else works, no modifications
- $24k asking price

Thinking of scooping up to replace my 100 with 255k as my daily.

Looking to get into the 200 series family.
Wanting thoughts on what is realistic to expect if my budget is 60k (year, mileage) This is for my wife so a stock one (no mods) would be ideal. Thanks!

60k should net you a 2016/18 with roughly 80000 on the odometer.
Price will depend on region and condition.

Good luck with your search.
I am sure others will chime in with their pseudo algorithms and tell you I'm an idiot.

Replacing a 255k with a 228k daily may not be the best move given you do not know all the quirks with the 200.

Price seems fair at 24k.
I would try to seek out one with maybe a little lower mileage, hell prices are coming down if you can wait a little longer.

Recently spoke to an owner selling his LC who claims oil change less than 4k miles using his buddy. I asked if he has records and receipts, his answer is that the car drives great and they last forever. Anything they tell you that you cannot verify is risk that you will decide if it's worth taking or not.

I would worry that an overheating situation happened with the radiator failure.

I would want a corola to go along with it for a year or two until any bugs are worked out if it's a daily.

Appreciate the insight. To clarify, the owner has a stack of physical receipts from his ownership so I assume they’re telling the truth, but I haven’t reviewed them yet. Services are not showing up on CarFax and were not done at a dealer, so may be specialist/generalist repair center

I’m assuming this is the charcoal/gray one in GA? Looks pretty clean for the mileage. I think it’s been posted for a while, may be able to get the price down a bit. I was thinking about it to replace my GX with 215k, but my gut says I should seek something out with lower miles for a replacement…..however, my brain is saying that’s one of the better priced 200’s out there.

It is, dropped to $23.2k actually and I’d still negotiate down.

I’m in the same split as you. On one hand it’s a well priced, accident & rust free 200 that’s been shown a decent level of care over its life, on the other it’s still got 228k and the considerations of what future needs and how much life is left for the price. Just very tempting at the price, one of the extremely few sub-$25k listings where I could pay cash and that seems in good condition overall.

I'm looking at 200k mile listings starting to go below $20k - that's what I'd be looking to get the price to before pulling the trigger on that one.
