Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Nice! You got anything for 2013-2015s with <60k miles? I’m seeing it around $55k as a fair deal from dealers.

I think the trucks that are closer to 30-35k are going for about $55k. There's a very clean one in Arkansas posted here right now with 31k for $55k (For Sale - Arkansas - 2013 Lexus LX570 - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/arkansas-2013-lexus-lx570.1305494/). Closer to 60k, I think things are more like $44-48k, with the occassional deal closer to $40k. Someone earlier posted a Washington state truck with 43k for $40k, which is an insane deal. (2014 Lexus LX 570 - https://410autosales.com/inventory/2014-lexus-lx-570/). It does, however, have a questionable rear bumper that makes one wonder what else might be going on. The service history is good, though.

I've seen a handful of small dealers with 55-60k '13-'15s listed at something like $42k over the last couple months, particularly if they are in the northeast. The market is viewing those very differently than the lifetime southern truck that is practically new and has 30-40k on it and a great service history.

Don't know if you guys that are looking saw this yet?

White 2017 with 52K miles, has blackout kit, and no bids yet sitting at $46.7K

And eBay is hardly relevant for vehicle sales. No confidence in bidders or sellers actually following through.

I'll do a little build thread at some point in the next few weeks. I have an LFD full rack coming (should be the second or third full rack they have on a 200 series), and I'm mounting some 275/60/20 Wildpeaks. I'll also do a mild AHC lift with spacers. The goal with this is family camping, Colorado 14er access and daily driving. My wife and I already have a ten day northern California trip planned for July.

It's Nebula Pearl Grey over black, and the service history is impeccable. It's also a lifetime Colorado truck, so there's no rust (Colorado doesn't use salt, and the dry air in general isn't conducive to rust).

2013 LX570, 87k, every option, $35.5k

Here is how I look at this one. Just giving thoughts. Some of this is informing me of what to expect further. Feel free to pick apart my thoughts it will only help get to a better understanding.

This is for this specific vehicle which if your buying or selling you will have to consider for each.

The "fair pricing" base price for a 2013 LX with 150k miles that I listed is $27k

$27,000 (base, 150k miles, no accounting for sound system or other details, no tax, tag, title , normal (usually not sufficient) maintenance)

+15-20% for well under 100k miles ($4,050 - $5,400) - again considering exponential increase for low miles under 100k (10-15% right at 100k)

+$2,000 for really good maintenance records; really good care; no maintenance needed and ready to go 20-50k miles before next "major" fluid change or maint item

+$1,000 clean exterior/ interior no need of paint correction or fixing

+$500-$1000 tax, tag, title, travel to get it, etc.

Total = $34,550 - $36,400

I think you got a good truck for a fair price considering all the details.

Requires purchase of “stargard”, an advanced theft deterrent system that further adds to scummy dealer’s bottom lines.

Did you go to see it? How is the rust condition? I don't expect it to have rust if it is from Reno or Sac area. I used to live in Reno between 2006 to 2011 and never seen salt on the roads.

I didn’t physically go see it. Just saw the photos that I posted. Wasn’t good enough based on condition and price to warrant the drive.

$5k in fees from the dealer on top of that price

I wish that nonsense would be banned. It's a deceptive trade practice to advertise one price but require the purchase of a lot of other add-ons. At minimum, dealers should be required to clearly state this at the top of descriptions. Stated prices should include everything except for legally-mandated taxes and fees.

There have recently been talks on the consumer protection side of things about banning any additional costs which do not add value. I would love to see it but until that’s law our only choice (and it’s a good one) is to tell these dealers no thanks.

Yes, and I hope our politicians can recognize that this is an issue that crosses party lines. It's a win-win opportunity for lawmakers from both sides to go back to their constituents and say they did something for the people.

Not sure I would buy this one myself, but the price seems somewhat fair given what dealers are paying for these wholesale at the auctions.

Here is a great video to prove the maintenance is the key and not the miles.
For impatience; jump to 3:40 mark
