For Sale Most recent 200 Series purchase prices (13 Viewers)

Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

On yours, let's see some photos. Is it the one you mentioned be advertised at $27k? I'd assume it was private party if you moved them from $27k to $24k?

I'd love to see all of the sub $25k listings your seeing for 200s with less than 200k miles.

Or are you including LXs in your statement? I'm talking LCs here.

Sorry, but you need to dig deeper. Go back through the thread. I just picked up a 2010, 110k, $24k. But hey, if you think that is a deal, go give them your money.

This was a sweetheart of a deal, likely not easy to replicate without patience and a lot of luck. Main thing was mileage was so low. I would have expected much closer to 200K miles on that one for that price. But if you see more like this, def pass them on as their are lots of mudders in the wings probably willing to pick one up for that price.

It was an LX he bought - not comparable price-wise.

2013 Land Cruiser with a little under 140k miles sold for $23k down in TN. Clean title, 2 owner truck, no rust on the frame when the sales guy sent me pics but sold the same day to someone local. Definitely think I won’t see that type of deal again.

I ended up finally getting a chance to see this one up close. Interior had been well-used by a family. Lots of stains that the poor detail guys couldn't get out. I was digging the all leather steering wheel. That was nice compared to the crappy wood one that's usually on these.

I made the technicians do a block test in front of me, and while they didn't hold it on there as long as I wanted, 5-10 minutes, the blue fluid didn't appear to change color - so I guess that passes. It did lighten up a little, but it certainly didn't change to yellow and didn't really move toward green, either.

During the test drive it drove pretty well, but the center diff lock was super slow to come unlocked. Usually had to reverse the drivetrain to get it out (both under 4HI and 4LO usage). Maybe it just needs to be exercised more, but on one test when I hit the button to lock going down a straight road at like 30 mph, it clunked real bad repeatedly and was enough to make me step away.

As soon as I told my salesperson the news he immediately changed his attitude toward me and called his coworker and said to call the next in line.

If it's someone on here, enjoy your truck. It's really not that bad but I'm picky.

Exercise or not, I predict most 200s will need the center diff lock/ 4 low actuator in the 200k-300k time frame. Mine was in operable at 120k and the truck was perfectly maintained. Never buy one with out asking or checking.

Long story but pulling data from as many online sources as I could (KBB, NADA, AutoTempest, Auto Trader, Edmunds, etc.) using as similar of detail parameters I could (year, color, mileage, standard/ base model ammenities, average condition). Each gave a little different info and had to "account" for some things fairly. Deducted average markup on list prices. Reported "sold for price" has some lag. A little for "niche market". Averaged. With the array, this should get one close to it or at least have some reasonable confidence in what is fair and what is above and what might come in below.

I do think overall things are coming down still and these numbers will change gradually. Older vehicles and higher miles will lead the way. Sometimes unfairly so but average desire is newer and less miles. Also with turning a "new year" people will count an extra year of age on a car.

To consider each of these at 100k miles would take a little more thinking. To give it real justice, would require rerunning the numbers with new data. I am sure some percentage would suffice for now (10%-15% more). Generally speaking, people can overvalue low miles. I tried not to get into the minutia about a car's history and care. Mostly because dealers dont care and they have impact on market prices. They ultimately will say its worth $XX,XXX.XX based on very few parameters and previous care (aside from accidents) do not usually wind up in their considerations.

I feel like there is very little LC inventory at the $30k-$45k level. 2010-2015 with 80,000 to 170,000 miles.
