Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

This may be a good deal.

$55k for a 2016 LC200 with 70k mi. For sale in MT, no accidents, has been registered in CA and ID.

2015 Lexus LX570 for $45k with 60k miles. Missing almost 3 years of car fax. Good deal?

My rule of thumb is in 2019 (before this crazy price inflation) a 2013 40K mile driven LC was 40K. Yours seems 2015 60K and $45 is not too bad. check for frame rust and service history including those 3 years. LX usually have a lower sale price tag (about $5K to 10K) same year same miles, so try to make some adjustments.

2015 LX570 Black on Black with 150k miles Southern Truck, no rust, good oil, filters, and brake services. $34k

Had to clean and detail and baseline other fluids (coolant, transfer, diffs, brake fluid, AHC fluid, etc) and do spark plugs. Needed new front rotors, a little warp.

Otherwise in good shape. Had new Goodyear tires.

Certainly has been and will continue to be an interesting market to watch!

My guess is the market will sort out like most of the other Land Cruisers!

The top 10-15% (lower mileage, condition, and history) trucks, especially rare and/or good colors will continue to command good value and likely sell very quickly, the average are becoming more in line from a value perspective and the rest will just be the rest and offer a better opportunity to step into the platform.

This is a good equilibrium, there are all types of buyers for all types of trucks, keeps the collectors collecting, the drivers driving, and plenty average and below 200’s left over to utilize and enjoy!

I am eyeing on a LX 2008 with 170K miles: it started at 27K after 2 weeks, dropped to 25K and again after 2 weeks at 23K.

I've noticed the LX have the a lower price tag as well, any theories as to why? Not the same name recognition by those not in the know?

Because every time some one asks what it is, you have to say "it's and lx" they look at you blankly for a moment and then you say "you know a land cruiser" and then they know what it is.

because it takes lining peoples pockets to get them to actually believe it's a LC.

I think that price sounds about right. Before pulling the trigger on a truck this week, my top contenders were a 2014 LX with 82k for $39k and a 2015 LX with 40k for $48k. Yours is right in line with that, and I was shopping the entire salt-free US. Based on my research, northeastern trucks can be had at a better on-paper deal, but they come with rust.

Have you done the Lexus Drivers trick to view dealership service history? Sometimes stuff is on there that isn't on Carfax. A three year gap is a knock, IMO. Maybe not a fatal flaw, but I'd be a bit more dilligent in my inspection.

I don't think we'll go right back to pre-Covid pricing. Things will cool some, but the money is still out there. Most people aren't financing these trucks at this point, so they aren't directly rate-sensitive.

I bought my 2017 LX a month ago. CARFAX showed two or three service appointments. Logged into Lexus and there they were… 5k service appointments, like clockwork….

Just checked Lexus Driver and still missing 3 years of data. I don’t understand such a lapse

Yeah I was about to go pick this up 2018lx in January for my wife. Ran a carfax and it was missing 40,000 miles of service. It had 45,000 miles on it lol. I passed. Price was $61500.. black on black interior with no rear entertainment.

Hey guys, been watching and reading this Forum from a distance and trying to step into the platform and need advice. Any will be helpful.

Two options:

1. 2016 LC200 White with black interior and has 70500 miles. Carfax is clean, 2 owners, maintenance done every 5000 miles but not at Toyota dealer.
Asking is $57000 plus fees and TTL. Steering wheel is peeling like crazy (only issue found when test driving)

2. 2018 LC200 White with Terra interior and has 74000 miles. Carfax is clean, 2 owners, maintenance done every 10k at Toyota dealer.
Asking is $62000 plus fees and TTL. No issues found when test driving.

Thanks in advance :)
