Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

At BMW of Sterling VA they have a 2013 LX with ~107k and are apparently firm at 33k. I had them put it on the lift and the rear mount is deteriorating from rust. Driver side sill has some rust bubbles coming through. Light washer is broken, and so is the auto lift gate. 5 owners. They have owned it since May, probably in it too much.

Love white!

Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong spot but I have $20k burning a hole in my pocket for an older or higher miles LX570 or J200. PM me if you have something that might be in that ballpark. Located in South Carolina and willing to travel for the right one.

Speaking of salt belts. What's everyone take / opinion on reduction of value on LC trucks with moderate rust on the frame but not a run away rust bucket? Let's say on LC 2008-2015 otherwise in clean to excellent condition. (This is besides the fact that a lot of people will not even consider salt belt trucks but I'm sure this plays into the cost consideration)

I believe the "reduction of value" theory is wishful thinking.

I live in Cleveland, no issue buying the vehicle you described.

If you pass on one, someone else will swoop it up.

Different story if we are talking run of the mill Chevy, 4 runner etc.

This one seems to be priced about right given the current market.
Nice color.

I was thinking the same @El Skywalker. Last I checked on this one, I got the "someone had started the purchase process" message.

I can see your reasoning for "if you pass on one, someone else will swoop it up". Here is an example, this one was near me, but I didn't even bother go check it out and it SOLD!

North east special, advertised as rust proofed :)

For every Mud member who wants a dozen detailed pics of the underside before buying, I bet there are at least a dozen other buyers who will never even see the underside of their truck.

SOLD - 2013 200 Series - St. Louis, Missouri: OFF THE MARKET - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/2013-200-series-st-louis-missouri-92-xxx-miles-in-immaculate-condition.1293525/#post-14639584

@VWEeplusa, I wanted to respond to the comments made on your thread here so as not to clutter your ad.

I can understand the frustration on both sides.

Allow me to share some perspective from a buyer that's been combing this subforum for many months: I think that all the buyers that frequent the classifieds here are a bit frustrated with how an overwhelming number of the sellers here are loosely motivated and typically bake in a several thousand dollar premium to their asking price. Why else are these ads sitting for weeks with no activity - even months? I'm as much a free market capitalist as they come, but I think there are many sellers here that are overpricing their vehicles for the purpose of making lofty returns from their fellow Mud members in a market that has so obviously softened. This is seen by most as contrast to the MUD community culture. I'm not saying that this describes your situation.

There are several motivated buyers on this board right now that have been in the market for a long time - I think that what's behind the sensitivity. They/I are/am ready to get into a vehicle and we're all weary from the unrealistic, unsuccessful WTB ads that have littered this board over the last several months.

As one of the buyers trying to get into the right rig I think you hit the nail on the head.

Cool to start seeing 2016+LX570s with ~110k miles under $50k finally.
