Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Pretty sure it has accident reports.
Indeed, it does. At that price, I would have thought surely someone had stopped by to have a look in person.

Just bought a 2011 LC w 105k miles in excellent condition for $40k. Bought in CT. One owner, well cared for.
A bit on the expensive side, but it’s a beautiful ride.

That's a beautiful truck, but man these prices are just wild. I'm holding out for a 2013-14 for $46K. Maybe this ever-worsening recession will change things - maybe not. 🤞.

With gas prices the way they are right now, there can’t be many people dying to get into a gas guzzling LC or LX.

Who knows………

Most of the people I know that have/want an LC/LX either can afford gas at $10/gal, work remotely, or have a cheap commuter car. I don't think you're wrong that gas prices are discouraging people from buying one, but I don't think they're really encouraging people to sell them either. Who knows, maybe the bottom will fall out and you'll be able to get a 200 for a song in a few months, but given the type of people that own them and the fact that they're a fairly rare commodity I wouldn't be surprised if prices stay mostly the same.

My understanding is these trucks were much more reasonably priced before Covid? I don’t see why used prices can’t go back to where they were a few years ago once the supply of new vehicles is back to normal, unless there is some extraordinary new demand for the 200 series that didn’t exist a few years ago. I guess maybe the discontinuation of the LC may have created a new paradigm especially for the LC, and less directly the LX. Here’s to hoping lots of 200 mall crawlers buy new sequoias and the general vehicle shortages end.

I think speaking on used cars generally that will hopefully happen. However, there is an enthusiast community for the LC/LX and the fact that a lot of enthusiasts in the states see the 200 as the "last" LC that will be released here is probably encouraging people to buy and hold whenever possible.

I also don't really see the Sequoia shaking loose a lot of casual LC owners since they don't really seem to be much of an upgrade over the 200. Although I don't really understand why someone would be a casual LC owner in the first place so trying to get into their mindset is probably a fool's errand. If you're going to replace your vehicle every time the next new thing comes out the LC is a horrible buy other than resale value, and most people that have that mindset are in debt up to their eyeballs so I doubt that even crosses their mind when buying.

How soft has the early LX market gotten? I've been neglecting my '10 for a several months now and think it's time to move on. 142k, needs nothing. $30kish? Considering throwing up on carsandbids.

Looks real clean, I've seen 200's soften some but 30k seems low for what you have.

... unless there is some extraordinary new demand for the 200 series that didn’t exist a few years ago.

There is a whole new set of buyers coming into the market. You might notice all the new guys with 1 post that go straight for the classifieds.

I think a chunk of the 1.4 gazillion 4Runner owners in this country (that always seem to think they're at the top of the off-road chain) have discovered that the Land Cruiser exists (most of them don't, if you've ever talked to any of them) and are feeling a little inadequate.

Looking at a ‘10 LX 570 with 165k miles. Looks like every service has been done on schedule and at Lexus dealership. Been in NC it’s whole life. Never off-road. Has some cosmetic needs: front fender scraped, rims have some curb rash, passenger dash woodgrain cracked so has been removed. Brakes probably due for change before long.

Seller is asking $25k. Thoughts on that price? I’m more familiar with the 100 series market.

Looks pretty good….wonder about the undercarriage though being in Ohio most of its life :/
As you are probably aware, opinions of rust vary widely depending on where you live and this forum in general.
Good catch, didn't notice that!

I have reviewed this thread but would be interested in any input on pricing for my 2018 with 64K. No mods other than floor mats and 275/70 BFG's. I have $65k - 67k in the back of my mind. Thanks.
