Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Hi Mudders!

Do you think $33k is fair for this 570?

Seems slightly high, but it's so clean and in my preferred color combo.
  • 2008 LX 570 (silver/black)
  • 65k miles
  • One owner, super clean, all service done at Lexus
  • Entire life in Texas, no rust
  • Radar cruise control, which is a nice-to-have for me

Try to negotiate. If you think you can recover your money back should you change your mind and resell, go for it. It is always hard to buy emotionally. At the end of the day, do what makes you happy! Best of luck @Charleypartanna

It seems a little high. How much is happiness worth to you?

$79500 before tax in Houston TX. There aren't many left, but there aren't many buyers either. I peeked at the inspection receipt, and this one had been on the lot for a month. The sales manager ran after me in the parking lot when I walked out over $300. I'm picking it up tonight.

It's not just the wheels. I was asked for a VIN when I ordered an HE all weather cargo mat. I thought this was crazy until I went to another dealer and they asked the same thing. So I found the VIN of wrecked HE online and provided it for them. Week later I have an HE cargo mat to hide those holes.

My advice is go to another dealer. There's a lot of dealers that like to make money and sell you stuff rather than be a nazi and require to see your papers to prove you should be allowed to order this part or that.
Hmm, I just ordered the HE all weather mat at my dealer for my 19 without any question. In fact, the parts guy was looking for the all weather mat under the year 19 and I had to show him on his computer that the HE started in 2020. Guess I could try it with the HE wheels, but I'm happy with my BBS forged TRD wheels.

Congrats! I fell in love with the mgm as well.

Put my down payment, signing the paperwork tomorrow for a 2016, one owner, older couple traded in on a HE, 45k miles with service history, Black/Terra @ $55k
(plus the taxes, wish that didn't come into play, but so be it)

Seemed like a decent deal from other 200 prices I've encountered within the last 2 months -

Thinking of selling my onyx blue terra 2016 64,5k miles while waiting for my he next week. No rust original cali car

Sell it Tito lol .... huuuritache is 👍

I don't have the truck in my driveway yet, but me and my business partner are getting 2021 LCs, mine a white 2 row Heritage with 950 demo miles on it, and his a 0 mile dark grey/Terra (I so wish the Terra was a heritage choice) for $162,000. $81k each. Price includes the dest. fees. However, it does not include taxes, $500 dealer doc fee, reg, or title fee. I'll update once the trucks are in our possession with the dealer name. Don't wanna give them any credit until I'm sure no games are played. ;)

EDIT: Dealer was Jim Coleman Toyota in Bethseda MD.
As of today, the dealer is still offering the above pricing on their HE's, ie. $81-82K. I almost placed a deposit on their 2-row silver HE; they also have a black HE on the lot. Thanks to @redeye for sharing.

Imo yes. I bought a TX ‘09 with 76k miles for $35k 2 weeks ago. It was at the high end of my price range but I wanted lowest mileage I could afford vs newer with higher miles. I definitely think mine would have been a better guy around $33k so for what you’re describing I’d get it. I plan on keeping mine forever so mileage was number 1.

Hi folks! I'm looking at a 2014 LX at a dealer in Georgia. I'm having it shipped to CA, which is where it will be titled and registered.

Are these fees legit?
  • Dealer doc fee: $699
  • License/title: $232
  • ETR out of state: $199
They're also insisting on collecting sales tax. I think I will get a credit for that when I register it in CA? (I've never bought a car from out of state before.)

Thanks!

Fees are on the high side, but unfortunately typical. Make sure CA is a reciprocity state for sales taxes. I went through this buying a truck in Indiana and registering in Virginia. It was a big problem at the VA DMV, so you can imagine the day that I had. In the end, owed no additional tax to VA, but it was painful and a long slog. Calling the head office in RIchmond, etc. Make sure you know the rules upfront and don't let the uninformed DMV clerk sway you.

looking at a 2011 with 118k miles. seller wants 37k. private seller. think the price a bit high

Indeed, that does seem pretty high. I bought an '11 in Sept of last year with 165k (southern vehicle with great history) for $30k. That said, these days everyone and their mother knows how in-demand the 200s are, so the seller has a pretty good amount of leverage to sit on their asking price.

Hi I was wondering if anyone could opine on the price and rust quality of a 2019 200 with 31.6k miles black with terra.. I put a refundable deposit down.

Negotiated to $82k out the door which means $74,750 sales price before taxes.

It's in the North East I haven't seen the vehicle yet but asked the sales person to snap some pics to check for rust. Here's what he sent over. What do we think? Looks surface level only..

Thank you in advance for your perspective!

Reading this thread, I think you can get new for $82k, might have to call around out of state but should be worth it
