Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Got a 2018 today out here in Bozeman, single owner with 36k miles - $71,990 + $299 Documentation fee ( traded in my GX 460), so price was a bit lower with that taken into account. There is no Sales Tax in Montana so that was the price out the door.

Windshield and front camera are being replaced. Two sets of rims/tires included.

Sold my ‘16 Base-Blizzard/Terra, PPF & ceramic coated, 75k miles on the clock. Private party $55k.

I understand that 200s are at a premium right now but come on. This is ridiculous (yes the mileage is actually 123,000)

**hadn’t even realized that the year was wrong too. Sadly this is a legit add

that’s nuts. this Time last year that was $39k @ the Lexus dealer.

Hey all, does the rust situation of the truck below scare you?

2018 with 35k miles -- within window to extend original warranty. Negotiated to $68k OTD which I think is a good deal. NY truck. I had my GX imported to me from TX. I'm moving to TX in the summer maybe I should just hold onto the GX until then and buy locally? The irrational part of me thinks prices will go up then although it's quite unlikely.

That’s not a good deal. I paid 78 for my 2020 new with 6 miles on it and 0 rust.

That seems like a lot of rust to me, especially given the asking price and the relatively low mileage. That's the reason I stayed away from used trucks coming from the NE. I would wait and buy something in Texas or the neighboring (dry AF) states, IMHO.

Oh WOW $78k Out the door or pre tax? My price includes 8.865% sales tax and other fees. I thought it was a decent deal because of a couple posts I saw in this thread. One person paid $68K for a 2018 CPO with 39k miles, and another paid $66k for a 2018 with 43k miles on it.

That said I am 100% willing to pass on this it's just tough to get a benchmark for the market as this is well below KBB but KBB is not all that accurate for these trucks IMO

EDIT: Thanks for your perspectives. Looks like I will either buy new or wait till I get to TX.

Just sold this one for $51k

Wait until you relocate to TX. Most 20 year old vehicles around here don't even come close to that amount of surface rust.

I think its best to discuss pre tax since we are all from different tax jurisdictions. I struggled on buying new vs used. Your deal at 2018 with 35k miles @63k (pretax) was only about 20k more than a new 2021 heritage. How would you value the 3 year warranty on new and the 2 years toyota care? I assigned the warranty a value of @ 3k and toyota care @1k. So the differential is only $15k. I personally value the heritage at $2k more than the base land cruiser. That drops differential used vs new is down to $13k. 3 years and $13k of depreciation doesn't seem like enough of a spread to buy used. The LC is the only non waitlist SUV (urus, g63) I would purchase new.

i think it depends on the use case, I kept going back and forth during my search on new vs used. right now I’m somewhat kicking myself for buying new, when I could have bought used and added an extended warranty. agree with your thought process with some updated numbers below. extended toyota warranty for under $2k that covers 8 years and 100k miles, so would cover 5 years and 65k miles On a 2018 with 35k miles. Also Toyota values Toyota care at under $400 (Two oil changes at $124 each + 3 tire rotations at $40 each).

If I had a used truck, not sure I would be as worried on my next offroad adventure. regarding narrow trails and throwing all my gear into the LC.... But oh well.

Just some anecdotal info. I periodically check cars.com on new Land Cruiser listings within a 500 mile radius and typically there are 70 to 80 listings. Just checked today and there are 54. Not sure how many are in the pipeline but maybe the end is coming.

Hey all I mentioned earlier in this thread that I’m moving from NYC to Texas. I am seeing 55 2016+ LC200 used within 200 miles of Austin which includes Houston San Antonio and Dallas (I think). Within 200 miles of NYC there are over 155 used! I imagine that’s bc there are more metros and people up here? Was kind of surprised to see how many more trucks are available. Too bad for all the salt we use up here..
