What about angling the rear wheels like the wheelchair marathon guys?

and maybe widen the axle length to allow for corners. Looks a bit tippy. Perhaps if you have a few beers the tippyness will even out.

Update. Parts are in. Took two weeks for the rear hub to come in. Ditched the two speed rear unit and went with a single speed one set up for three sprockets. One off the cranks, one off the motor, and the secondary drive to the rear wheels.

Rattle can red and white with pinstripes. Looks better in the pics than in person.

I will now proceed to scratch the hell out of it during reassembly, as it is only rattle can.

You need your own show on SPEED Network!

Looks good!

OK Listen to me. If you ignore every other thing I have ever or will ever post, listen to this and heed my warning:

Do not use regular old bike tires and tubes. If they prematurely fail (and they easily can), you will die if you're going 45 mph (or wish you did). You have to use the kind of tire designed to handle the heat that this little motor-driven bike will generate on those meats, or at least no-flat tubes. These would be the fool-proof way to go.
Airless Bicycle Tires

I saw somebody get an insta-flat on a bike with one of these kits (on a mountain bike), and he was going maybe 25 mph, and it was a horrible sight. Let's just say that if he ever finds love, she will be a saint, blind or as ugly as they come.

given the inherent instability of the trike, I hope to god no one goes 40 MPH on it.

That said, Run flats seem like a good idea.

Johnny, it is a shop at work. They put signs out when the tree chemical guys come.

I am looking forward to seeing wildman pull clumps of sod out of his teeth after tearing around on it sauced at the gathering.

:)

It is a boygofast kit, ebay seller, bought it from a stoner in burlington who never fully assembled it.

I tried to follow a friend down Killington on MTB bikes at over 45MPH. Pretty bumpy.

Hypoid, that thing is awesome. I don't think I could get on it, never mind ride it.

Edit
He was around 45mph, I was no where near that. Not for lack of effort.
